The Official UGA @ Tennessee Series Thread (Fri. March 29 6:30PM EST SEC NET+) (Sat. March 30 5PM EST SEC NETWORK) (Sun. March 31 2PM EST SEC NETWORK)

Never fails around here with some of you. Baseball is a long season, sometimes these kind of **** days happen. It’s frustrating, sure, but good god
This is spot on, PLUS, this game is far from over. Things happen. As a former and current player at a pretty high level, the players aren't going to give up, so as a fan, why would I...... EVER!

Not this inning or even game. Definitely not the series or season.

I think many posters have never been on a team or honed an athletic skill to the point where they can compete at a very high level, so they don't know that by being off by a tiny amount doesn't mean "I'm junk" it means what I just said it was, they're off a tiny amount. That's for hoops, lacrosse, tennis, golf, etc etc.

I also believe it's more difficult to be a fan than a player because fans are helpless, the players are out there adjusting.

I think a sport like baseball is particularly tough because you only get to swing the bat about once every 20 or so min? ie 4-5 at bats over 3 hours?

As I'm sure YOU know.... having a short memory is a gift when it comes to improving at a sport. It's just the way it is.

You the man! I remember playing ball and losing more than a few games one season and even getting hammered a few of those games, but guess who was standing as champions at the end of that season? Adjusted, went back to work, earned it.

GA ERA 9 Tenn should have more than 2 runs. They should be feasting off these pitchers GA has

Antigua - INF single to 2B.

Villeneuve - E6.

*Runners on 2B and 1B with no outs*

Burke - Base hit between the gap in CF-LF.

Bases loaded with no outs*

Moore - RBI Grounder to SS. Double play (6-3). Antigua scores from 3B. Villeneuve advances to 3B.

Tears - RBI double down the 1B line!! Villeneuve scores from 3B.

Dreiling - Ground out to 2B.

UGA leads 8-2. End of the 3rd.

UGA starter is at 56 pitches and 1 K.

Better to be in this situation now than later. Lot of young players with a chance to learn from the experience, whatever the final outcome. We are bound to be in this situation again later in the season.
