i disagree.

i think jim dandy should start. jim dandy is exactly what the vols need at this point in time. jim has that "it" factor and just wants it. some players may have a fire in the belly, but this guy has a raging inferno. i have never seen him play. hell, i don't know what number he is. all i know is butch needs to get him on the field now. no matter how desperate the situation, jim dandy comes to the rescue. go jim dandy. go jim dandy.

Dobbs' HS highlights make him look like the next Manziel.

Dobbs' HS highlights > Fergs' HS highlights, IMO; therefore, Dobbs should start his college career on the road in the Swamp.

Logic is so great sometimes.

He's third not fourth. Dobbs is the practice team QB so I think he is fourth. Either way I think if anyone besides Worley starts this week it will be Peterman.

At this point for all we know he could be a practice All-American. From the open practices this summer I don't see why you think he should start. Also he's not a good runner. CBJ def said he wanted to add the running qb element to the game. While he is mobile he's not a runner.

No he is fourth Dobbs only played on Practice team because he was the only on who had the ability to simulate Oregon's QB.

I really hope CBJ and Bajakian is on Volnation because they admit they suck at determining QB play. Clearly they don't know know their backups backup is the best. :)

I don't know how this "open competition is being done. According to Inside Tennessee, in the drills they watched, Dobbs and Ferguson did nothing but stand and watch. Maybe they were doing mental reps.

Do you people ever read the articles or do you just make up garbage to put on here. Ferguson has been the 3rd string qb all season Dobbs is 4 th.

Worley doesn't have the arm to play (and excel in) D-II football.

If Worley plays, he will start out bad. He will be bad in the middle, and he will end bad.

There was a poll on here yesterday where the question was Dobbs or Ferguson. Ferguson was winning 2-1. It was like a high school beauty contest where everyone was voting for his girlfriend and ignoring the prettiest girl in class. It was absolute proof that VN is full of neophytes who don't have the slightest idea of what they are seeing. The most we have to go on are HS senior highlight videos. If both QBs had to option break the same 20yd play and run; you could tie an anvil on Dobbs leg and he would still get there first. Nobody on here obviously knows how to count ticks between the lines while watching one of these videos. Also in HS Dobbs played against beefier players. This too is visible to the eye if the pros here weren't voting for their girlfriend. All in all, if a freshman starts, it's more than likely going to be Dobbs. He brings more natural talent.
