The Official XXIX Summer Olympics Thread

Seriously, the only moment in Olympic History that might top Lezak's performance would be the Miracle on Ice and I wasn't old enough to understand what a monumental performance that was.

Homeboy's smack talk and Lezak's explosion (looked like his whole chest was out of the water) at the end could not have been staged any more beautifully.

I smell a Disney flick.

Kerri Strug sticking the gold medal vault on an injured leg in 1996. Given how American women love the gymnastics, I'm surprised they never made a movie about that. If she didn't have a voice like Jerry Seinfeld huffing helium, she would have made a fortune doing commercials.

In some ways The Olympics is like a freak show. Some goofy events, yet I still watch. I mean, come on, synchronized diving.

C'mon man watch WWE, Cena will be fighting tonight..In that case, I will be watching some synchronized diving with ya. :)

eh. i've seen May/Walsh so many times they don't do it for me anymore.

now, women's nude beach volleyball would be worth watching.
May/Walsh are alright. I was talking more about when they get to face countries like Brasil.

Got to keep Phelps in mind the next time there's one of these threads about how "Tiger Woods is the greatest athlete of my lifetime!"

And Eric Heiden >>>>>>> Michael Phelps, anyway.
