i don't know that i'd go that far. besides, can you really compare speed skating to swimming?

The sheer range of what Heiden did was IMO more impressive than what Phelps is doing. It was as if one guy showed up to the summer games and won gold medals in the 100m, the 200m, the 400m, the 10k, and the marathon.

I can't say we're being robbed by judges cuz i have noooo idea how that stuff is judged... lot of it looks borderline the same to me. Fun to watch though, from what i hear the chinese kick ass and take names.

Oh, there's no doubt that a bronze medal is a good result for this team. But with a silver medal practically in the bag, the first two guys up clanked so badly that they almost fell out of the medals entirely. I'm not one to pull out the word "choke" very often, but when you only have to be average and instead you fall all the way off the horse, I think it applies. Unfortunately.

Nice to see the third guy stick it and save the medal. Good for him.

I probably have this wrong, but with how the schedule and days change over, I believe baseball begins tonight here, which would be tomorrow over there.
