Winter storm warnings are issued when there is heavy snow of six inches in 12 hours or eight inches in 24 hours. The weather service is calling for most of the snow to hit within a six hour period Friday morning, and the warning will be in place from 6 p.m. Thursday to 6 a.m. Saturday. ------------------- well close I guess
