Probably because they picked apart Stokes' weakness, pick and roll.

They also missed two shots. We just didn't rotate and rebound. Stokes kept overplaying his man.

Defense was pretty good tonight.

The big Picture...
At least we have some more BB to look forward to somewhere.
It won't be the NCAA, but given the fact that we were even in the mix (first 4 in/out) was very appealing.
I Love this team, and given what they have achieved this year with what all it has been through, makes the future look that much brighter.

This game was over before it started due to the fact that NY Vol did not start the game thread.

For whatever reason we could not adjust to the zone. No rhythm all night. We shot too many 3's, and when we would drive we would throw the ball to Ole Miss, especially in OT.

Oh well. Still can't be upset with this team because I'm proud if how they bounced back this season. Time to move on to the NIT and get ready for next year.

I though Stokes handled it ok and made them shoot over him. I don't recall them hitting the roller at all. Trae wouldn't hustle back for the roller, though and there was no rotation by Cam on several occasions in the latter part of the game.

Their pg led their team better tonight than Trae did. Not hating on him. Just a fact.

Congrats to the vols on a very successful season. this was a heartbreaker but that's the way it is. The ball just would not drop. Ole miss played a very good game tonight.

True. Trae was lazy on the roll. We also shouldn't be switching that. I don't know if that was CCM or not, but that shouldn't be switched. Make him hit the three. They don't shoot it well.

I don't know. I guess you can say that, but the other guy hit shots and he didn't.

Ole Miss played really hard and their defense was good all game long. They brought it tonight and the shots just weren't falling for us.

We did bad against the zone.

But you know, I still think Ole Miss did a good job on defense too.

Correct! Ole Miss had no shooters - all they did was drive to the basket. A zone would have killed them and kept their bigs off the boards. The way to beat a zone is outside shots, and we just had a bad night shooting. You still have to give Ole Miss credit for staying in our faces though.

guys why did we not try to go inside more,it was like all they were doing were shooting from outside the three point line???

Jordan McRae shot about 1-16 the past two games, he shoots floaters, fade away jumpers and three's. I really hope he improves his game in the offseason and the coaches work with him on being physical and taking it to the basket. He will be a major part of our team next year.

They can review time and things like that in an out of bounds..

Are you sure it was who it actually went off of?

If so I'm pretty sure they broke the rules, because I'm surly certain that's against the rules. Once again, if in wrong, I apologize, but I'm fairly certain it's not reviewable.

Never had much interest in following the NIT tournament. Even with the Vols in it, it's still going to be hard to drum up any enthusiasm for an also-ran tourney.

I was talking about in the games you saw it, are you sure the review was for who it went off of and no something else?

I know it was off Henry it was clear. I was asking are you sure that's what the officials were reviewing in the games you saw.

Because as I posted above, CCM just confirmed its not a reviewable play.

I'm pretty sure it was because of out of bounds, but I can't even remember the teams (it was a Big XII game, maybe Texas), so I can't be 100% sure.
