Well when they stop taking retarded shots and start acting like they give a damn, they can play again. The team sucks, might as well get the young ones some experience and play the guys that want to play

I'm still trying to figure out what's up with McRae. I thought it would have been best for him to redshirt, but then he played to start the season and obviously wasn't ready. Then I really thought he should redshirt. Then he got some playing time over the holidays and was actually contributing before being cut out.

So that's it? The season's over? I'm all for benching a player whose not playing well/doesn't look like they give a damn for a game or two and see if he comes back with a little fire. But everyone is playing as inconsistently as those two. If I remember correctly, Brian had a couple of good games before this one. You just never know what you're going to get with these guys. It's a sad thing, but Tatum and Brian are still our best options at starters.

What has Brian done to be a positive against any team that wasn't completly undersized this season?

Arkansas isn't hyped enough an opponent for Prince Scotty to deign to give effort.

Lot of reasons we lost, but I don't think anybody, including our coach, had any overriding idea about what we wanted to do on any possession on either end. We actually didn't have a plan. We do it regularly, but it was glaring today.

Williams has really been owning the gass against the decent bigs down low. As for Tatum, what has he done since Thanksgiving that warrants playing time. He looks lost for some reason.

Bone is an good defender and he should get some more PT. But Tatum is still a better offensive threat and can go off at any time. I don't know what Tatum's stat line was this game but he had gave some of our shooters some pretty good looks.

People have been calling for Hopson to be benched off and on this entire season. He's simply inconsistent. Benching him isn't going to do anything. He may come back with some motivation one game and just go back his usual ways after that.

Tatum has brought nothing since the end of November.

Everyone's been saying Pearl is a good motivator during his tenure here. Not really. He can get his team up to play when they're underdogs, but that's about it.

Why do we care if Goins is scoring? It's normally detrimental on the whole. People deified Maze around here because he scored some, but that's not what we needed from a PG then and isn't now.

Who do you want to play at the 5?

Fields or Hall. They can catch, aren't soft, they get in position better on defense, and can finish. But hey, let's just stick with Williams' constant whining and throwing his hands up for everytime he messes up.

Fields, maybe. Hall's nonchalant attitude is just as bad as William's. Bench players are always the most popular players when teams are struggling. Kinda like a backup QB.

It's already conference season, we should've had our lineup set by now. If we're still shuffling our lineup, then we've got more problems than anyone would've thought. I say stick with what we got and ride it out.

Yeah, we see how great the current lineup has worked over the past 8 games.

Please remind me of the kind of offensive production we have been getting from the bench this entire season.

I know that Fields comes in and the post gets dramatically better. The same could be said for Hall if he wasn't set back by injuries.

Williams needs to be on the bench. Hall is more talented, better offensively, more athletic, and could gain a Hell of a lot from the experience. Williams is bringing absolutely nothing except crying and whining. And switching one post player out of the rotation isn't going to somehow destroy chemistry, especially considering that this team essentially has no chemistry as it stands.

Our offensive structure, or lack thereof, isn't conducive to the point guard getting lots of assists. And that's not a good thing. The only time we rack up on assists is in transition.

Scotty Hopson and Brian Williams will be the killer of this team....Brian because of his contant crying and whining and Scotty because of the lack of leadership and hustle.

Brian Williams looks like he is constantly tired. Did he not go to a camp this summer to help him get better at conditioning this past year?

Scotty Hopson always looks like he is a little slow...mouth open, hunched over, constant bad dribbling.....he is a horrible leader of this team. TH looks more like the guy I would follow. Hopson cries just as much as Williams, except when Scotty does it, it shows in his playing.

It would have made a big difference if our bigs could make FTs. Maymon and Williams both missed front ends, and Williams then missed 2. That all happened on consecutive trips. 6 pts left on the line right there in a key stretch. That's a spot where Chism made a big difference last year.

Just got a text from a friend who scouts for a Western Conference NBA team. "Why did it take someone this long to isolate Harris defensively? Should do the same to Hopson."

Harris will have to work hard on defense every night. I dont think he is a good enough athlete to overcome poor footwork and effort on that end.

That's the one thing that keeps him from being a sure fire, one and done elite NBA prospect. He's not a great athlete.

Although this is true, the game never should've been close enough for it to matter. This wasn't Rupp.

Except that Hall will foul out before the 2nd tv timeout.

Defnsively, we are horrid in two particular areas, allowing guards to penetrate the lane and help side defense on the pick and rolls. Arkansas molested our guys with the high pick at the top of the key, it was embarrassing. I've said for years that Pearl's teams suck donkey balls at this.

Harris, for all his positives, is a horrid low post defender. on a number of occasions today, he allowed a player to dribble from the wing to the lane without any resistance at all. He was screwed at this point, of course. I'll cut him some slack, though, he probably didn't have to play defense until he got to Knoxville and is still learning.

All in all, I've just come to expect that this is a team that will be up and down the entire year and resemble the seasons from '06-'07 and '08-'09.
