We may have relaxed a little when Steven made those baskets. Arkansas looked totally done. It looked like the Hogs were ready to mail it in.

I'll admit I'm a little biased on that issue. I was around UC when it was running on all cylinders and know what a great job it is under the right circumstances. I think Arkansas is a political mess of a job. It takes a special kind of personality to survive there.

Arky is a mess right now but the West is wide open for someone to take control. Auburn and LSU are disgraceful, and the Mississippi schools have been average for half a decade now.

Alabama made a good hire, imo, if Arkansas does the same they should be able to compete for west titles on the reg.

One story people aren't talking as much as they should about is Rick Pitino doing one of the best coaching jobs of his career.

Co-sign. This year's UofL team is a scrappy bunch. Siva plays haaaaaaaard. And somewhere along the line Kyle Kuric morphed into Rex Chapman.

He did a great job of tempering expectations in the preseason, calling this a " bridge year ". People around here keep saying his teams always play better at the end of the season, once they get the fitness to play the defense he demands.

The Yum Center may be the best arena in college basketball. you been yet?

Had season tickets this year. Kuric has to lead the nation in 0 point games+20 point games.

would not want to play them in a tourney.

1. Disaster averted. It would have been hard to find the words to describe how awful a loss that would have been.
2. Tobias Harris was the best player on the floor tonight. Had Tennessee not quit getting him the ball for a long stretch in the second half, the game would have never been close.
3. Cam Tatum needs to be shut down for the season. For whatever reason, he's become a serious liability.
4. The more Josh Bone plays, the harder it is to figure why he hasn't been on the floor more. He doesn't screw the game up.
5. Kenny Hall is getting there. I'll be very surprised if he isn't a very productive player next year.
6. Brian Williams was a difference maker. Arkansas had no answer for his bulk.
7. John Pelphrey is utterly incompetent. Arkansas would be better off if the players simply coached themselves.
8. If they make the right move and hire a new coach, Arkansas is positioned to be pretty good next year. There's plenty of potential on that roster.
9. Rotnei Clarke bears a striking resemblence to The Miz. That's enough reason for me to hate him.
10. Interesting matchup for UT tomorrow. They get a chance to make up for throwing away the two regular season games against UF.

I keep hearing that, but somebody is going to have to explain to me why Anderson would leave Mizzou to come back to the place that ran his mentor off and passed him over for Stan Heath.

Dont and hope he doesnt leave. Would like to think he is second coming of Norm.

....I knew there was a reason I couldn't stand looking at that guy. Can't believe I didn't realize this earlier.

I agree with all ten points. When Arkansas tied the game at 68, i was at a point of anger that i have seldom been at as a spectator.

Ha ha! My wife was trying to tell me something and I go "Stupd p*****, post up and act like you want to win. Pearl, you're stupid for not getting the ball inside the last 4 possessions."

She goes...o.k., I guess I'll tell you later !

Again kudos to lil Pearl.

Hate me some lil Pearl. Definately like big Pearl--- but watching lil Pearl makes my skin crawl.

I especially detest that he hangs his head when he gets taken out, even though he should have never been in in the first place.

I think I will feel better about everything --once I no longer have to see him on the court.

If I had a choice between world peace and no more lil Pearl -- I'm gonna take no more Pearl every time.

I would like to see the +/- for when Hopson and Harris are on the floor together compared to when one or both are sitting. Tonight the difference had to be close to 30 points. I still don't know why we put on the floor who we put on the floor.

Tennessee survived and advanced, But it is tough to feel good about it.

The first half sub-in of Pearl-McBee-Bone-Golden-Williams made me want to stop watching UT hoops for about 3 years. That was about 3 of the most painful possessions I've ever seen.

Told ya they'd be good :)

I think Pitino is the coach of the year easily. JMO.

Rotnei has always made be chuckle with his demeanor and Tasmanian Devil style of play.

I know Kenny's defense has kept him off the floor, but we lost SO MANY games due to our postmen bricking layup after layup. I believe with all my heart that our record would have been better if Kenny had been allowed to learn on the job early this year.

You can't be a championship team without a post-up scoring threat, IMO.

I'm not positive, and I'm not looking it up...but didn't that unit (or one like it) come in when the game was 12-8 Arky, and bring the score to a tie at 12-12?

I remember thinking "now that's what Pearl's sucky scrub units are SUPPOSED to do...come in, provide 3 minutes of crazy hustle, disrupt and frustrate the other team and maybe swing the +/- in our favor, and then let the starters come back in with some momentum."

Impressions are easier to remember than details. That was my impression. Arkansas was shooting a FT I think at 12-12 and the starters came back in. I don't remember exactly which scrubby lineup was on the floor, though.
