1. Burn the tape and move on with the season. Chalk it up as one of those nights.
2. The lack of effort was disconcerting. UGA was the aggressor from the tip.
3. Travis Leslie is fun to watch. Of course, it's easy to make highlight plays when the other side isn't playing any defense.
4. The basket off the side inbounds with 2 seconds to go should result in Renaldo Woolridge walking back to Knoxville. Then again, his sleeping through that play was no worse than his overall effort.
5. Wayne Chism has some soccer player in him. He certainly "sells" his injuries.
6. When Steve Pearl is your best player, that's what happens. Several guys should pass on the postgame meal out of shame.
7. This week will set the tone for the rest of the season. You can't let this performance beat you more than once.
8. Having Vanderbilt and Florida up next is a good thing. That should get the team's focus back where it needs to be.
9. Can we finally dispense with all the excuses for John Pelphrey? He has his full roster and they are disgracefully bad.
10. That is a huge win for UCONN. That might well have been a season saver.

The replay of Chism's knee thing was cringe-worthy. I don't think he was trying to sell anything.

Allowing a team that is, at best, average offensively to shoot 56% is really a poor effort.

That's far from the first time Wayne has acted as if he has suffered a Theismanesque injury, then returned a couple of minutes later.

If ever team we play the rest of the year is not in zone their coach needs to be beat with a rubber hose.

Was Steven really celebrating his no-look hook shot that cut the deficit to 21 points sometime in the middle of the second half through the magic of a fist pump or was he waving his arms around wildly for some other reason on that quick glance that the camera caught of him after his basket?

I think he was motioning the other guys to get into the press.

Well, it's easy to say that he was faking it when you weren't out there.

It looked gross on the replay, his knee clearly bent in a direction that it wasn't supposed to. I'm just glad that it wasn't serious.

Yeah, the fact Wayne does that three or four times a season is a mere coincidence.

Lots of teams will have "one of those nights" when they shoot a bunch of dunks and two footers.

Just a ridiculous amount of dunks and uncontested shots today.

Let's hope this is a flush it game and they go on another run.

Agree with everything except Pearl being the best player. Scotty played very well today IMO.

Its hard to say that somebody with 19 points didn't play well but he didn't play with a lot of intensity. He only had 2 rebounds, and like the rest of the team, stood around the key too much.

This team has to learn how to run an offense against an 8th grade zone. They are slow at the start and losing in the first 10 minutes of every game but you can tell if they are going to come back or not. This game was like USC and you could tell it was over 5 minutes into the game. Hopefully they will regroup and we just won't have a game like this in one of the year end tourneys.

People are making excuses for Pelphrey?
