Do we have one? If not, I'd like to start one...

Getting a Canon Rebel XS or Nikon D60 this weekend. Not sure which but it'll be my first DSLR.

In the meantime, I have a Nikon Coolpix, 6.0 MP that I've been using. Simple point and shoot but I've gotten some nice photos out of it.

Here are some that I took today along the Mississippi on my bike ride. It was a beautiful day.

I'll try to keep this thread updated with the photos I take over the course of the year. Enjoy.

This thread would get lots more traffic if the pictures were of hawt women instead of dirty water. Just sayin...

I have a Canon Rebel (in film) and then a Canon digital (not sure of the model). My avatar is a picture I took over the summer at the beach with my Rebel.

After looking at those photos that I posted... my little Nikon seems to have solved it's problems. Every picture I took used to come out blurry as a mo-fo. No matter what the settings.

The wife and I own a photography business. We shoot cannon but have friends that shoot nikon....Nikons are generally cheaper I think, but canons are the standard.

I bought a Nikon D60 on Friday. I've been playing with it ever since. I wish it wasn't so darn cold out...

I ordered a couple of prints from the photos I posted above from Shutterfly.com. Gonna create a portfolio. I've already had two inquiries on photographing weddings. I figure that could be an easy second source of income. I'm doing one for free as a wedding gift, though.

Here's a bump...

For those of you interested, here's my Flickr Photostream.

Sifted through 300 photos I took on Friday, kept 76 of them. I still have 385 from Saturday to go through tonight and tomorrow. Enjoy.

look over on the right side and you can see the train going by, the blotch is the smoke.

the camera used is a Minolta Maxxum 700Si film camera. I'm not sure which lens I was using that day, but it may have been a Minolta 28-85 or 35-105.

I really miss my Maxxum 5D, but I sold it to help pay for my kid's first car.

I dig the bridge pic as well. Any chance you would email me a high res version for my computer background?

yeah, I'll need some time to find the photo CD it's on, since it's a film image.
