The Problems with Trans-ideology

I'm going to go out on a limb and guess you didn't actually read the letter as it mentions nothing about gender or dei.

My guess is it was already posted in at least 2 other threads and you felt this one was close enough.
Yes I read it. The picture has been hanging for decades now all of a sudden it now violates policy for it supposedly displays a picture of sexual harrassment/domestic violence. The picture is neither sexual haraasment/domestic violence but is being as the excuse to take it down for it does not fit DEI. If DEI is not the real reason people want to take it down then explain to me the real reason.

It reminds me of when they were banning Baby, it’s cold outside while the number one song in America was WAP…. We are a country full of morons.

Even if that weren't just made up in your head, what would it have to do with this thread?

I'm guessing you're like Franklin Pierce and several others in that you struggle mightily when forced to actually express opinions in your own words.

They explain it in Section 1 of the letter you claim to have read. Still can't find where trans, DEI or scary heteros are mentioned

I'm just asking for the sake of asking. This is the "trans-ideology" thread. There is a dedicated DEI thread. Is there any chance you inadvertently put this in the wrong one? That might clear things up a bit if that's the case.

It may be better in the DEI thread then. BUT DEI is related to the LBQT----+ community and the picture does not fit with DEI in that community.

There is NOTHING wrong with the picture...ever. So why now after decades all of a sudden there is supposedly something wrong with the picture that it needs to be removed from everywhere in the building? And don't tell me it's bacause it depicts sexual harrasment or domestic violence for that is baloney

They tell you what they believe is wrong with it. Your opinion simply disagrees with their assessment. Still has zero to do with trans

How does this picture affect your life one bit?

I am not buying their lame excuse that it depicts domestic violence/sexual harrassment. Why now after decades does it all of a sudden SUPPOSEDLY depict these things?

It's not just me that sees it that way:

The Biden Department of Veterans Affairs has banned the famous V-J Day kiss photo from all VA facilities, claiming that the photo must be erased to “promote a culture of inclusivity.” Considered by most to be an iconic piece of American history, the photo has become a routine target of the sex-obsessed left, which decided nearly 80 years after it was taken that the kiss was actually a form of sexual assault. Remarkably, the entire Biden Administration, including the VA and the DoD, have embraced pedophilia and LGBTism, but they say that a photograph of a victorious American is a bridge too far."

Why is the picture not culturally inclusive? who is it not inclusive of? LBQT---+ people maybe? This is the REAL reason why it's being removed? Yes it is.

  • Famed photographer Alfred Eisenstadt took a picture of a couple kidding on V-J when World War II was declared over. The legendary photo, according to reports, has now been banned by the Veterans Administration, from all display at its buildings. Why?

That story is right next to the one about Taylor swift wearing devil horns. Seems solid

Bc the lady who was kissed wasn't pleased about it. Not a consensual act. Didn't know the guy.

“I felt that he was very strong,” she told Patricia Redmond in an interview for the Veterans’ History Project in 2005. “He was just holding me tight. I’m not sure about the kiss… it was just somebody celebrating. It wasn’t a romantic event. It was just an event of ‘thank god the war is over’”.
“It wasn’t my choice to be kissed,” she added. “The guy just came over and grabbed!”

I remember growing up, and parents would limit our screen time to a certain amount per day.

I think that rule needs to come back for some of our posters who are obviously pushing the century mark.

Related but not.

Remember minutes on a cell phone plan! Insane to think about now. “Hey let me call you back at 9 tonight. I’m almost out of minutes this month”.

VN minutes.

But the free minutes should start at 9am. Not PM. You know, because of alcohol and what not.

what does this have to do with "culturally inclusive" for the picture to be taken down?

“I felt that he was very strong. He was just holding me tight. I'm not sure about the kiss... it was just somebody celebrating,” Friedman told Redmond. "It wasn't a romantic event. It was just an event of 'thank god the war is over.'”

In the years since, the moment has been reinterpreted based off of Friedman’s account and a closer examination of the photograph, which appears more forceful than affectionate. Some have called it documentation of a sexual assault, and while Friedman reportedly did not view it that way, she understood that reading of the moment, Eli Rosenberg reports for the New York Times.
