the old california law gave the judge an allowance to not require a male/female pedophile less than 10 years older than the female/male victim be registered as a sex offender.

the new law gives the same allowance no matter the gender or sexual orientation of the attacker or victim. the addition was MvM and FvF, and however many permutations of Trans vs Any minor exist. "homo" is a simplistic wording, but applicable.

I think that there should be a law limiting gender-affirming surgery until the child reaches 18. (These laws should come from the States and not Federal Government as well). If kids can't smoke until they are 18 and drink until they are 21, they definitely should be allowed to undertake a surgery that life changing.
