Sherman, Texas police confirmed they had off-duty officers protect the attendees of the drag show at the church

A Christian church in Texas hosted a drag event last weekend that was open to families, prompting protests from locals urging the attendees to "DEFEND PURITY, REJECT PERVERSION."

The First United Methodist Church in Sherman, Texas became the venue for the May 13 LGBTQ event, after it was moved from its original location at nearby Pecan Grove Park.

The event, called "Pride Prom," was billed by organizers as a "family-friendly drag show." A poster for the event, which had the original venue on it, read, "Pride Prom. Be True To You. Saturday, May 13th, 8-11 PM."

The State Department will offer counseling to any employee "who feels hurt or upset" by a system-wide email glitch that temporarily assigned random and often incorrect gender pronouns to staff.

The pronouns were randomly assigned, with men being given female pronouns and vice versa, due to a "pronoun glitch" in the department’s system, the Washington Free Beacon first reported.

The term “pansexual” refers to people who claim that they can be romantically interested in anyone — whether that person be a woman, a man, a woman who thinks she is a man, or a man who thinks he is a woman.

She claims to have been banned from using the women's changing rooms and bathrooms on May 4 by management at Hot Yoga Chelsea - where classes can cost as much as $1,900 per year.

But Miles went in anyway and it led to complaints from the other women in there, according to the lawsuit.

It is the third gender-identity discrimination case she has filed in the city in the last 13 months, according to the New York Post.
