The QB doesn’t matter against UGA, the OL does

Nico’s biggest weakness this year has been holding the ball a touch too long. He has unmatched precision and intent with his throws however. The game seemed to be slowing. He seemed to realize he has legs.

Gaston has a weaker arm but seems to be more decisive (a bit heroic and optimistic at times)

But none of these attributes will matter if we can’t handle the pressure. Georgia will press us and force us to prove that we can handle the blitz.

I hope we are rolling pockets to help move our QBs. Georgias defense is still a bunch of dudes that can absolutely fly. We can’t expect to just hand it off.

We have to pass to run in this game.

We got absolutely out coached last time we were in Athens, hopefully we learn from it.

I don’t think our O Line can win straight up. We need scheme help
My realistic goal or hope for the team is to play great D and force CBeck to beat us with his arm. Yes, our OLine is critical in this one - just to leave the stadium without another qb injury. Can anyone discuss why Miss State exploited our defensive middle so often? Was it strictly due to occasional poor reads from our LBs or did our defensive front get beat too often? I don't understand why we were often using a 3 man D Line with plus one standing at D end - this was abused by Miss St often on runs up the middle. Were we simply saying we were not letting them beat us through the air? Curious if anyone has insight into this. IF Georgia runs the ball up the middle consistently well, this wont be a close game in my opinion.

Simple question... then we can agree to move on. Has our WR been as good as OM ? So my answer is no. Could they be ? Yes. We drop way to many passes, we are not getting open at times. Sometimes those windows are about more than a QB. Nico is still the best choice, yall act like going in there with GM we are now the favorite. We are not and it will be a miracle IF we win this game without our #1 guy at QB.
We've had wide open receivers all season

With all due respect, you're out of your mind! The QB ALWAYS matters!

Moore's 1st pass against MSU is worrisome. He had Bru open on a crosser and threw it behind him. He was open but it was a bad pass. He will need to make those plays to beat UGA. His timing was way off, I could understand it if he was coming in cold off the bench in the middle of the game, but that was coming out after half time. If he is not accurate in the middle of the field it will be a long night.

I don't give a rats ass what you think about Nico or his numbers. You are either stupid or blind to not see the talent difference. Nico is the QB you take to win on the road against Georgia with everything on the line. Not a 5th year walk on that hasn't given us 2 games worth of film in 5 years. He ain't that guy. And all those pass interference calls Gaston got were under thrown passes. Lmao NICO is the QB because he is better. Period
So angry. Election must not have went your way. It’s gonna be okay little buddy. I never said I wanted Moore starting. But Nico up to this point sure hasn’t been this massive superstar you want to act like he is. Keep on with your rats asses You bad, bad man you.

You can bet GA is coming all out for the QB whoever it is. Quick releases are a must IMO. Hopefully we can run well and keep the D in check. Hype has not had much success against Kirby's D for 3 yrs so not real confident here.

The fact is, no team is going to beat Georgia with just a qb. It will take the entire team stepping up to beat Georgia. And luckily, our team is stronger in most areas beyond the QB, so even without Nico, we still have an excellent chance. I think Gaston will be ready. He's known all along that he could be called upon to lead the team if Nico gets hurt. He's been preparing for it. That's literally his role on the team, and the coaches have prepared him for this scenario. I think this team, with Gaston at QB, can definitely get it done! And in the end, I think that having Gaston at QB will make us a huge underdog, which will relieve a lot of pressure on the team. It will loosen us up, it will put a chip on our shoulder, and it will confound Georgia because he is an unknown entity, and our team will be an unknown entity with him at QB.
