Been a while since I listened to any rap or hiphop but if I do it's gonna be something old school or from the golden age. There was a time when I listened strictly to rap. And from that, gained a lot of respect for the old school artists. Early 90s was probably peak for rap and many would agree with me on that front. I don't see anything being pumped over the radio or on the charts as even coming close to the originality or quality from that period. Don't get me wrong I'm not anti-modern rap it's just the stuff I hear is crap and I've yet to re-explore modern rap and hiphop. Also, any rap artist who uses the auto-tuner or voice synthesizer gets serious points against them. Seriously, stop it now or just brand that trash a new genre.
