I just came back from Nashville and I was bumpin Overly Dedicated along with that new J-Live I found yesterday. I'm not gonna say OD is way better than Section 80, but it is def a great album.

It should be against the law for quality work like that to be drowned out by Lil Wayne, Drake, Gucci Mane, etc

I used to like Drake when he wasnt signed to YM, then his career nosedived.

Man... let me say this. I just searched youtube and found The Heart pt. 1 (a cover of Mos Def's Umi Says) and I'm listening to Heart pt. 2 right now. Neither are on itunes as far as I can see right now. I downloaded OD and Section 80 last week, but can't find these yet.

But having said that... Kendrick Lamar is the future of hip hop.

Having only heard two of his songs it's probably not fair for me to say but initially, I don't like him.

Just get OD and Section 80, listen to them a couple times, and you'll really like him. Trust me. You have good music taste. I believe in you.

His new album is coming this year.

OD was in Fall of 2010, and Section was Summer 2011.

I realize that, but Heart 1 or 2 seem to have been made a year or more ago. Will they really put those 2 songs on the new album? Highly doubt it, but who knows.

And actually, the only studio album he has done is Section 80. The rest are considered mixtapes.

I downloaded OD and Section 80 last week and I don't see Heart 1 or 2 on either of those albums from itunes. Was there another version of OD that was released? Or was it an EP or demo that was released before OD?

I don't know. I downloaded the heart pt. 2 and I have it, so I'm not sure...

I see now... for whatever reason, Heart pt 2 was on another version of OD that was not on itunes. Very odd...:blink:
