The reason why some still say we can win the SEC East...

You must just love mediocrity.
That is one of the most ridiculous things I've ever read. There is no you can criticize somebody for accepting mediocrity because God forbid they hope their team wins.

I disagree. I know many Vol fans that are so fed up with Fulmer and this hideous coaching staff that they have now reached the point of actively hoping that the Vols get pummeled in every game remaining in this season to ensure that UT's administration will fire our inept coaching staff at the end of this season. They have held this program back for many years, and it is time for a change. Living through several ugly losses in the remainder of this season will be well worth it in order to finally get this program moving in the right direction. If Fulmer and company are here for another year, this program will implode and I don't want to see that happen.

That's right up there with the Tennessee fan I met today. I told him that I was looking forward to the trip to Knoxville but wasn't sure about our chances up there.

He told me that we could "help them out by winning the game." Hate your coach or not, why in the world would anyone ever want to can their coach so bad that they would wish for losses in order to get rid of them?

p.s. You people have no idea what mediocrity is. I could teach a class on it as long as my team has been mired in it.

I think it's time to bring back RealVol.........because a lot of you need to............GET REAL!!!!

Nothing personal, 423, but just for public record, I disagree with every word in this post. Wish for Fulmer's demise all you want, but what about the players?...How can you wish losses on them that may negatively impact their futures?

We don't aspire to be like South Carolina. That is precisely the point. With Fulmer and company at the helm, we are on a downward slide to filling the perennial cellar dweller position that South Carolina has held in the SEC.

For the freshmen, sophomores and juniors, a change to the coaching staff will help them to actually develop their talent. They are being robbed of that opportunity under Fulmer. For the seniors, losses are nothing that a blazing 40-yard dash time or an impressive workout won't erase from the memories of NFL scouts.

Technically, Florida always plays Georgia on the road.

Tell that to the statisticians and announcers during their game at Neyland this year. I don't know how many times they touted Richt's SEC road record. It drove me crazy. I think the stat may be skewed when you don't count games against one of the toughest opponents in the league.

Analysis is that we'll win because we're playing at home?

Arguments that we'll lose all but UL-L have merit, whether you want to admit it or not.

USC, plays solid D with weak O. Our D can make any weak O look like mid 90s Corhuskers and I suspect our O can hold its own. coin flip

UK - very solid offense, no D. We will need to put up about 45. We can - coin flip

Vandy - just hammered USC at USC. Should have beaten UGA. We should win, but their USC performance makes them scary.

Arky - will run for 500 on us unless we stack the LOS. I would like to think we will, but we have yet to enter with a game plan that (a) was apparent (b) made any real sense (c) made me confident in our ability to game plan. Our O can likely score at will, but Time of Possession could be hideous.

I think a bunch of coin flips hardly makes one anticipating losses shortsighted. One anticipating our winning out might be considered to be living in la la land. The home field definitely helps, but I don't think it's the advantage that you do. Our opponent, save Arky, have won on the road in some hostile SEC spots. I don't think ours will be as raucous given the apathy that losing big brings.
If Chavis doesn't load up the box I will abdicate my fanship until the coaching staff is all gone.

Once the fans begin to wonder if the best thing for the program is a win or a loss, you can never get it back to where it was. That is why Fulmer staying around after the season is going to be toxic for the program, the fans, and the players.

Winning out would do more damage than Good. Its a hard pill to swallow. You want the best for the players so win but in this case it would prolong the inevitable of a needed coaching change which would be also good for the players.

Choose your poison.

OK. I'll choose winning out. Not saying it will happen but I can certainly hope for it. I question whether someone who says he hopes they lose, can accurately be called a fan.

I do not think we will win out. But we can expect a realistic finish. 2-3 or 3-2 to close out the season. I would expect the latter 3-2 but I could see someone beating us that we are favored against which will put us at 2-3. Anyway you look at it we are stuck in neutral as far as the Coaching staff is concerned. No forward progress and not enough to make a change. I do not see a 5-0 finish. I wish it would happen but there are too many changes needed for that to occur Been a Fan since 1963 and will go to my grave as a diehard fan.

I wish they would change the venue of this game from Jacksonville to both campuses like every other game. That would put a damper on Helen Hunt I mean Mark Richt's dandy road record I am sure.

My understanding is that they are gonna start playing every other year in the Georgia Dome.

Just dont understand why they wont play the game at the Universities. The rivalry has lost alot of it's (luster) with FL dominating like 13-2 or something. I guess it draw's so much money the way its played now. Thats my only thought as to why. What's yours??

trifold. Somewhat of a recruitment game.

Possiblity that UF committed to Jacksonville for A Game (Like us and Memphis)?

Money.

If you can avoid playing in the Swamp or Athens then do it. Nasty towards opponent fans @ GA or at FL I have hated going to either game because there is always a problem. These fans are so livid they will eventually burn the opposing teams town to the ground or commit a murder trash cars or something stupid.

Fans are Hardheaded.

Go to a Michigan - Ohio State game in Columbus, Ohio. They make UF and UGA fans look tame
