The reason why some still say we can win the SEC East...

I disagree. I know many Vol fans that are so fed up with Fulmer and this hideous coaching staff that they have now reached the point of actively hoping that the Vols get pummeled in every game remaining in this season to ensure that UT's administration will fire our inept coaching staff at the end of this season. They have held this program back for many years, and it is time for a change. Living through several ugly losses in the remainder of this season will be well worth it in order to finally get this program moving in the right direction. If Fulmer and company are here for another year, this program will implode and I don't want to see that happen.

No true fan EVER wants their own team to lose!

OK. I'll choose winning out. Not saying it will happen but I can certainly hope for it. I question whether someone who says he hopes they lose, can accurately be called a fan.

I am a Fan that is why i did not marry my Sister. Reality is that you cannot have it both ways. Eventually somehing has to Give. We do this every year. It is in our own hands. It was this year and now we are relying on a SC or GA team to Beat FL so we can back into the SECCG to get humilitated by the Winner of the Western Division. AL is a 2nd tier Team and that win was no Fluke it was our Coaching staff's game plan that lead to that demise. LSU or Auburn will hand us a unforgetable Whipping on National TV. That will send a clear message to the rest of the NCAA that we have fallen further than most expected.

We have always been able to turn seasons around in the past but look at what teams we played then to do it. The tail end of our schedule is no longer a bunch of Patsies.

We have reach parity in the SEC no doubt about it. The problem is that Tennessee somehow has fallen BELOW the Parity LINE.

Wrong. My allegiance is to the program, not to the fool that is currently running (and ruining) it. The best thing for the program is to rid ourselves of our inept coaching staff.

I just dont understand how someone that call's theirselves a Vol fan can hope they lose. A major bummer in my book but, to each his own. I could say my real opinion but Vader would have to PM me again and I dont need that this late in the work week. Lets GO VOLS!!!!!!!

agreed. can't/won't root for a loss.

I want Tennessee to win against USC...because we can still stay in contention for the SEC East. That is a short term goal.

But if Tennessee loses, that means that we are one step closer to forcing Hamilton's hand and seeing a change made sooner. That is a long term goal.

At this point, there is a divided house as to which would be better. A short term gain in competing for the SEC this season, or the long term gain of competing in the years ahead if we make a coaching change.

Try a first hand experience of being peed on at the Swamp. Happened several Vol fans plus go back and read the incident reports from the 2003 game. Two of my first hand experiences at both schools were ugly for UT Fans. Windshield busted because of TN Tags. Drunks galore. The incident at FL was enough Bottles Urine thrown from upper sections along with what happen outside the stadium would make any other College arenas look like Disneyland.
