The only time you can say this is if it is the last play of the game and they blow an easy call. Lets say that they gave LSU that interception. Doesn't mean they would go down and score. Same thing for FL against Arkansas. How do we know FL would not have gotten that close on the next couple of plays?

The only thing you could think was maybe a replay official had a bet on the game and he picked Alabama to cover. I think the line was +8 LSU and the FG put it to a 9 point lead. This is highly unlikely as well.

So how about we all start looking like smart fans who know the game instead of worry about th refs helping Bama/FL out. We are playing well right now. Who cares what they do. We need to worry about our business and we will be at the top sooner than everyone else thinks. Lets get those Rebs.

Let the flaming begin..........3...2.....1.. lol :hi:

Your logic is flawed so deeply that I don't even feel like I have to point out how.

They are helping Florida and Bama simply to make as much revenue as they can in the SECG. The ratings will be through the roof and its what they think the people will want to see so they are doing the little things to see that this happens..

Mr. TRIONZ, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Complete incompetence is only slightly better than conspiratorial. The refs suck and are helping Alabama and Florida. Whether it's intentional or not it still hurts the league.

I don't care who plays in the SEC championship game. I do care if the SEC is so tarnished by horrendous officiating that the league is hurt by it, and by extension hurting UT's rankings and chances at national title in the future.

Oh sure they may not help them out every game, they rarely need the help but when they do need the help the Zebras are johnny on the spot with the yellow hanky.

And it wasn't last year? Alabama was #1 and undefeated the only difference was FL had one loss. I doubt people stopped watching because of that or were not interested.

Wouldn't the refs help out FL more than Bama? I mean Slive is big with the gators and wouldn't he want an easier game for FL so they can have a better chance at going undefeated for a NC?

1. The officiating in the SEC, which in years past has been less than stellar, has generally sucked on an entirely new level this season.

2. There are several specific instances where the suckiness has directly benefitted the highest profile teams, namely Florida, Bama, and earlier in the year, LSU.

I have no idea whether there is bias towards the league darlings or not, but it is inexcusable to have such substandard officiating in the best football league in the land.

One final thought: can you imagine the outrcry if the officiating suckocity, rather than helping the SEC's undefeateds, had gotten them beat?

The Refs are not helping Bama/Florida....

UF/ Arkansas – 1st down and extra yards given on a scoring drive

UF/Miss St – 7 points given UF on a bad call

LSU/Bama – Extra time of possession given Bama on a bad call

How does giving a team an extra 1st down, yards, points, or time of possession not help a team?

or if UTjr had benefited from some of the calls

We trailed until the fourth quarter, thanks for the help refs! Thanks for the illegal substitution penalty where we had to settle for 3! Now the football gods are conspiring with us instead of against us!

another senseless post. The illegal substitution penalty was as blatant as humanly possible and had to be called.

I don't know if you know the deal, but nobody really cares what the score is until the end of the ballgame. It's odd the way these W and L thingies work, but that's the truth.
