Me too...what do ya think our chances are tonight?
So, the original post has been updated after today's games. I took Auburn and TAMU out, they are in.
UGA is gonna finish last, they aren't going to sweep UF.
So, it's down to Mizzou and the Vols. The best case scenario is that UK sweeps Mizzou and Godley pulls off one more complete game and a win, that would get us in. Unfortunately UK hasn't been playing very well, and Mizzou is playing a bit better over the last two weeks.
After that, should Mizzou win one, we'd need to win two and it's hard to feel like that is possible after the last two weeks.
From here on out, I'm just gonna BELIEVE! GBO!
So, basically, we're hoping to win just one game at home next weekend over a team that's under .500 in league play and then back in because someone else got swept at home.
Dang. Truth hurts.
It's not over though; three games are left.
Should we take care of buisness next week other series of interest are Ole Miss vs. LSU, Florida vs. Auburn, and Miss State vs. South Carolina. Ole Miss has a one game lead on the five seed ahead of Florida and Miss State. Wouldn't mind the opportunity of playing florida in a single elimination game

I just noticed that we actually control our destiny, as odd it that sounds. In the KNS story about the Morehead game, Woodberry wrote that if we sweep TAMU, we'd either need Mizzou to lose at least once, or UK to get swept. Well, obviously, UK cannot avoid a sweep without beating Mizzou at least once.
It sounds like 1-2 is much more likely than 3-0 for us, but I do find it interesting that we can play our way in without having to watch scoreboards.
Vols handle Morehead State, but Dave Serrano unimpressed with effort as big SEC series looms » GoVolsXtra
"If UT manages only one win, the Vols would have to rely on Kentucky to sweep Missouri. If Tennessee takes two from Texas A&M, Missouri would have to lose at least two against the Wildcats.
If the Vols sweep A&M, the odds improve, but a postseason berth still isnt assured. In that case, Missouri would have to lose at least one game, or Kentucky would have to be swept."
Woodberry must have missed his coffee or had his mind on something else when he wrote that last part.
Isolated thunderstorms in Missouri today and Thursday. Isolated thunderstorms in Knoxville thursday, friday, and saturday. Hopefully they stay isolated and we are able to get these games in.
In a word? Yes.
You know, this one thing is troubling to me. Godley has gone out and finished 5 games. It's not like these young guys don't have anybody to look at to learn how it's done. This coming weekend would be a good time for the light bulb to go on.

Not playing might really help IMO. Winning 1 is about all that is a safe bet IMO. Going 1-1 get us in if they go 1-2????
Edit: looks like we would still be a fraction under mizzu by % points.
