The results of winning tomorrow

I overheard some discussion on the radio this morning and they were talking about what would happen if we won tomorrow. I didn't realize how big this game actually was until they talked about it.

-A win tomorrow keeps us tied for number 1 in the SEC East

-A win tomorrow and a Mizzou loss puts us as the only undefeated (in conference) SEC East team, and the undisputed SEC East leader.

-We would become the favorite to win the East

-A win tomorrow likely puts us in the Top 25

-A win tomorrow would make us a sure favorite against Florida. We haven't been favored over Florida in a looooonngggg time.

In short....... this game is HUGE. Could be the turning point for our program.

GBO.

Agree with all of this. If we win, we will have every legitimate right to think we could sweep our remaining eastern division games (UF, USCjr, Mizzu, UK, Vandy). Even if we lose to Ole Miss and Bama, with us winning the head to head against all the other east teams, we would be in Atlanta!

You guys know your team better than I do, but I think your defense has the ability to force UGA to throw the ball more than they'd like...and I don't think Mason/UGA can win that kind of a game. This will be the toughest defense UGA has faced all year.

From my perspective, if you get a win tomorrow, you're absolutely in the top 25 and would have to be considered a legitimate contender in the East.

I don't have to tell you guys that the next two games are big, but I do believe both are absolutely winnable.

You've got an extra fan tomorrow!

It's great to have classy fans of other schools here. Can you please show Lawgator1 how it's done?

He may be classy.. I have no idea. But it doesn't take a genius to see why every Oklahoma fan- classy or otherwise- wants us to do well.

UGA and FL are huge, huge games. Winning one of the two would be monumental to our program.

What's this "we" stuff? Do you have a mouse in your pocket?

No mouse bro. Just me and the realization that when the teams you beat do well it makes you look even better. It's always been that way.

EDIT: I did give you a like for the mouse comment, though.

Win this game and expectations go from get to a bowl game to get to atlanta.

I would say expectations go from just getting to a bowl game to getting a decent bowl game. If we find a way to pull that out and kick Florida while they're down, we're looking at potentially 8-4. Four more games in the East, two of them being Mizzou and South Carolina with Alabama thrown in the middle of it all still makes for a heck of a tough road ahead.

Based on this and some other threads, if we don't win tomorrow there'll be a major meltdownÂ… FOR NO REASON!

Yep. I want us to win, and I would like to say I always expect us to win, but really I want to see continued growth and competition.

I do think this year's team is much better than last year's, and this year's UGA team is not nearly as good as last year's, but where we've cut the gap in talent we've lost experience. In SEC road games, experience can matter. All of that said, UGA's defense won't be near as tough as Oklahoma's, and I am very confident in our young defense.

I have a good feeling about tomorrow's game, but I think the east will do the same thing the west is about to do. Win a few games we are not suppose to win and lose some we are not suppose to lose. The champion in the end will get into the playoff regardless of losses.

Its certainly in your favor for us to win cause it would boost the perspective of your win against us. I think your team maybe the best in the country! Thanks for the support.

For the posters trying to qualify the Sooner fan on here. Most fans of other teams that beat you just talk trash and say you suck we told you blah blah, blah. I go to other teams sites and I am very cordial win or lose and it has never crossed my mind to wish their team well because it makes us look better. Your realities are not everyones. How about just give the person props for being classy and let it be. Sheesh.

The funny thing is, there isn't a single team in the east that looks unbeatable. Not one.
