The Rock/Metal Thread

Overall, kinda meh. Not as bad as Godsmack's new stuff but not great either. Music is decent, lyrics are not good and don't flow at all, and does have a decent solo. Overall a C. I hope the rest of the album is better.

Also Disturbed.....this is what you consider "heavy"? Come on guys....I mean I know Disturbed isn't really that heavy but still, they've done heavier stuff than this.

I really like this, you are correct, Disturbed has done heavier stuff but I still like it....

IMO, the song sounds like another iteration of I'm alive.

The message of the song is pretty much the exact same as a few of their songs from Immortalized, particularly "The Brave and The Bold", only I liked that song. I wish DD would move on from all these generic "motivational" songs.

I just wish there were some "new" bands that were more GnR, Crue ish. I miss 1986-1989

SIAP about this band. Only recently discovered them. The singer in the video, Roy Khan, is no longer with Kamelot, but this guy has a wonderful live voice. Simone Simons also has a beautiful voice. Kamelot is from Tampa.

HellYeah is another band that I've not heard much from lately, love "You Wouldn't Know" and "Alcohaulin' Ass".....

Agreed. What's missing from newer bands is attitude. There was always an element of "danger" with those bands. None of the newer bands have that. The closest one I can think of is The Struts. I'm not a huge fan of their music but they at least seem to have an edge to them.
