Also, I cannot recommend enough, Slash's new album with Myles Kennedy called "Living The Dream". While its not exactly pure "80's" sounding, theres lots of GNR-esque hard rock to enjoy! It was my personal pick for album of the year last year.

Also, Judas Priest's album last year "Firepower" is killer!

it's been years since I even watched a few minutes of the Grammys...hasn't been worth the effort for me...never forget when Jethro Tull got the hard rock/metal album of the year...yep, been a long time...
