I think they’re just trying to save face. 7-9 is excessive and a Trump pardon just makes him look that much better. I mean Stone is just another victim of the fake witch hunt but nothing seems to happen to the false accusers.

The way I see it he was just a whistleblower. At worst he leaked info on purpose. No different and definitely no worse than Hillary, Comey, Eric C, or any of the other inept dims. The difference was he told a biased congress to shove it.

Trump said so? And since Trump is an expert in legal precedent his judgment is beyond reproach.

Trump thinks it is excessive, end of discussion.

No dissent permitted. No legitimate government objective to be considered. No weight to be given to traditional concepts of punishment and deterrence.

The Trump clown show continues to degrade the basic dignity of our system of justice. Just disgusting he would interfere in a local prosecutorial decision like that.

Lol @ the dignity of our system of justice. Especially where the DOJ, and specifically the FBI is concerned . They are literally under investigation and having to answer some really tough questions right now, for their apparent lack of dignity from their leadership . You can’t be serious .

Man. I should have been a Dem. This representative democracy THEORY has sure made millionaires out of Warren, Sanders, Pelosi, et al, on salaries that have never hit 200K. DC must not be that expensive. Leaves them enough for multi-million dollar homes and what not. And the cross sectional dynamics of that theory that spilled over into GOP pockets. It's amazing.

If he does (and I suspect he will), it will be after the election. Pardons like that would make only the base happy. Although Trump is seemingly an expert in keeping his 33 %, giddy, while making ZERO effort to expand that base, I am sure that Barr and the others are hiding the pardon forms away from him right now, for fear he'd do a lot of stupid things with them if he knew where they kept them.

I have no impact - just stating an opinion on why it's excessive.

The FBI knew it was BS and Congress knew it was BS.

It's not justice to exact revenge when your larger case falls to pieces. It's not justice prosecute some for lying to Congress but completely ignore others.

But I know you hate Trump so congrats
