On paper we win. But VA has been playing better and better through the year. Gonna be close.

UVA got off to a slow start, came on at the end, a lot like LSU, obviously they did better in their conference tourney, and it’s worth pointing out they lost their first regional game and then had to go 3 games to take the Super Regional. Teams don’t do that without good pitching depth and a lot of tenacity.

They certainly played better toward the end of the season but they also got lucky being put in the regional they were in and then got lucky again with who their SR opponent was.

UVA and LSU reminded me a lot of each other. They were ranked close to each other to start the year (8-12 range) and wound up a regional 3-seed. Could be worse. Louisville was a top 5 team in the preseason and didn’t make the tournament.

They could 2-0 us. They are used to being in the CWS spotlight. I think we will lose 1-2 as the stage finally gets too big and we run out of arms

As long as they keep making the ball round, anything can happen.

“The Whistler” has actually calmed WAY down from a few years ago. Still annoying as hell though.
Vandy definitely has the two best pitchers in the CWS. But, they can be beaten.

Yeah some teams take lumps early in the year and start playing up to expectations by the post season. So what UVA did early in the season doesn’t have any more bearing than what NC State did and we see how that turned out
