The SEC

I guess a lot of you are forgetting the last week of the college football season when people are in rhythm and playing hard and fla smoked FSU , USCjr beat up on CU, UGA beat GT and Vandy destroyed Wake. These bowl games are all about who shows up and prepares.

So, first week of the season does not count, then? What about coming off a bye week?

On one hand, I can understand Florida not being enthralled with a bowl game against the 21st ranked team in the country; that prospect just goes to show how royally fouled up the BCS and bowl committee selection process is when it comes to consistently creating uninteresting matchups. However, Florida was playing in a BCS bowl for crying out loud and, more specifically, the Sugar Bowl, where SEC champions typically play if they are not in the National Championship Game. Their uninspired play and "disinterest," as Chris Spielman consistently described their collective demeanor, fall squarely on Florida's coaching staff and players. We have been in that situation before in some of our Peach Bowl performances; USC was in the same mental state against Ga. Tech. Pit one team with a sense of entitlement against a highly inspired opponent and highly embarrasing results will often ensue.

The SEC has beat the ACC's best teams(Clemson and Fl St) they beat the BIG 12 best teams(Michigan and Nebraska). LSU has single handily dismantled the PAC-12 the last two years. All that's left is Notre Dame!

Florida got exposed. That is all there is to it. Agreed with BPVs line of thinking on LSU though.
