1. More and more teams are staying in the locker room for the National Anthem. That's really bad form.
2. UT is just going to have to play through their obvious offensive limitations. This team isn't going to win with their halfcourt offense.
3. Chattanooga isn't good, but the defensive intensity was solid for most of the game. Goins and Golden are sound pressuring the ball.
4. Just once, I'd like to see Scotty Hopson come off the floor with that Eyeore body language and Pearl go full scale Bob Knight on him. The gentle approach isn't working.
5. That's two straight trips to Knoxville that Chattanooga hasn't really competed. Their program should be better than that.
6. Tobias Harris' efficiency is impressive. There's no wasted motion in his game.
7. John Fields is going to pay big dividends down the line. He'll be a major factor against big time post scorers.
8. I'm glad BPV wasn't here. The beating the Air Force ROTC put on their Army counterparts woul have been more than he could handle.
9. The two NIT games will be good tests. UT will be pushed much more than they were tonight.
10. Georgia narrowly averted a flat out disaster. Fox has to be praying his big gun gets healthy in a hurry.

Agree.

The good news is, it looked like they realized that tonight (in sharp contrast to Monday).

This team has a good combination of size and quickness. They can be a helluva halfcourt defensive team, if they want to.

Tobias looked good, I think he's definitely our best player, he seemed really aggressive out there.

And I just want to punch Hopson in the face.

Was impressed with Golden. Someday Harris will be great. I'll be glad to see BW graduate. Scotty has realized he can beat his man to the hole; now if he can learn to finish. Fields is a good pickup. McBee, Pearl,Swiperboy, seem to be about the same as last yr. I can't believe I'm going to say this, but Goins might be our best player, but it's early yet.

This should be Pearl's best defensive team by a considerable margin. He's never had two point guards who could really attack. He does now.

Who are gonna be the leaders on this team????

Goins and Tatum????? So much talent with no leadership out on the court.

Harris is easily our best player. The team just doesn't realize it yet. I don't think Tobias even took a shot in the first 10 mins of the second half.

Yeah, but Goins will have a lot more steals than Harris.

That is something we are going to need. Love seeing that Tobias is doing well also.....

If I were a Kansas fan I would be pissed. How on God's green earth did Swiperboy, and McBee do what they did in that game??

Hopson going baseline looked really good as usual, Hopson doing anything else looked terrible as usual

we are going to lose some bc of FT shooting =(

Maybe, but our FT shooting was surprisingly good tonight.

Goins, Hopson, Tatum, and Golden went a combined 13-16 (81%). Goins and Golden went 8-9 (89%).

That's not bad at all for your go-to perimeter players + backup PG.

To be honest, Harris was the biggest drain on our overall percentage with his 3-6. But as well as he shoots from the floor, I'm not worried about his FT%. I think it will come around.

Be interesting to see if Melvin in particular can keep it up.

Anyone else think Fields should start over Brian Williams? Williams has been terrible.

Fields played well tonight.

I think Brian will look better when SEC play starts, actually. These mid-majors are just a bit small and quick for him, and the refs have been pretty quick with the whistle.

When the full-fledged wrestling starts in January, we'll be glad Brian's around.

Agreed. He's a rock against lots of paper right now. When we are going against other rocks and some scissors, he'll be needed.
