Did Pearl take the TO under the impression no foul was called, therefore he needed the TO to set up a play with 4ish seconds left? That's what I thought happened. Then he noticed a foul was called and he was screwed.

Yeah I wonder if he called it immediately after the slam.

If pearl didn't realize there had been a foul called then he needs to be fired for gross incompetence.

Maybe Pearl didn't trust how the team would respond to the intentional miss that was coming. IDK

It's not that hard to tell someone on the floor before the FT the plan to grab the board and immediately call a TO.

So it's automatic we're losing the last two games? Okay then!

Not automatic, but definitely not an unlikely scenario.

I also don't think 8-8 is that impressive. Not to mention we aren't exactly one of the NCAA's favorite teams right now. They aren't going to go out of their way to let us play in the postseason.

Anyone who thinks we aren't in right now obviously has no idea of how terrible the bubble and the at-large field as a whole is. This is going to be the craziest tournament in years, mainly because it's so even and there's no clear-cut #1.

My post about us not getting in with a losing SEC record was a response to this post. IF we lose the rest of our games, we will not make the field.

What's up with the crowd? It seems like both the fans and team take the first half off.

Lackluster play + burned a whole bunch of times at home already this season = lackluster fans. If there's no energy on the floor, there's not going to be any energy in the stands.

You get the time because Williams fouled out. He called it after state set up for the free throw. It was stupid.

If he called the TO, though, it's called. You can't take it back. If he called it before the foul whistle, he doesn't know he's getting the time for Williams' foul out

Well...yeah. I'm still pretty sure we can beat SC and then beat the worst road team in the SEC at home. Can't assume anything with this group of jokers though.

True. It probably would've saved a little time if a player grabbed the board and called it himself, but that's a valid point.

All Pearl has to do for the TO is stand by a ref and be yelling for the TO as the ball is flying in the air

State may have called one immediately after the foul during the Williams foul out time. I am not sure. But pearl called his after we were setting up to shoot.

State didn't have one left. We were the only one with a TO.

Williams fouled out. You get 60 seconds there.

State went to the line to shoot. Then pearl called the to.

Blaming the L on BP for that TO is silly. You are still looking at a desperation shot. Goins should have played fundamental D, rather than up in Bost's jersey 35 ft from the hoop.

Yes we would be in today, but this team could easily have 2 or 3 more losses.
