1. This team is out of gas. Having to go all out all the time has taken its toll.
2. Being forced to play McBee, Woolridge, and Pearl significant minutes has finally caught up with UT. Opponents are exploiting them at every opportunity.
3. Scotty Hopson has to recognize his value to this team and be smarter. His fourth foul was inexcusably dumb.
4. That's the best I've ever seen Beal play. Tennessee had no answer for him.
5. JP Prince was the only thing between the Vols and a major league drubbing. He certainly brings his best against the in state rivals.
6. Josh Bone has regressed since Ole Miss. Time to give Goins a shot to earn some of those minutes.
7. The officiating was quizzical. If you have to go to the monitor multiple times, you aren't doing your job.
8. The ball has to go Wayne Chism in the post much more often. UT settled for jumpers far too quickly and far too often.
9. Sunday is now a must win game. A loss would make this an official tailspin.
10. Guys dunking off trampolines isn't original, but it's not bad. At least there was no hypnosis involved.

The officiating was godawful. Even worse than Ted Valentine and his group of clowns.

We need to KILL Florida on Sunday for the team's spirit. And I still have no idea why Steven Pearl played so much in the second half.

Skylar Mcbrick needs to quit jacking 3's with 28 seconds on the shot clock

*thanks for the editing help* lol

Good report Hat, I agree on all points.

I just think the team is not going to be able to keep up that intesity and now that we are going to implement Tatum and Goins back into the equation we are going to have to find our new identity.

That's exactly what I was thinking hat - especially on number 1 there

glad to see someone else was thinking that

Pearl really hurt us.......and Skylar was abysmal........I think maybe it's time to get the rotation back to where it was before, and start running again........oh, and Woolridge is not doing anything, and Hopson is still looking lost at times.........I don't understand why these guys can't grasp it, very frustrating......

I applaud this team's effort after the issues, but it's time to face reality that this team is not that great.

The veterans (this means you Chism, Prince, Maze, and Hopson) have got to play smarter. There is no point in getting mad at walk-ons playing like walk-ons. This team has little room for error to begin with and our best players sitting with four fouls the entire second half cannot happen.

I still think they win 10 conference games, but suddenly this Florida game becomes very big.

We had that hypnosis guy here at Ohio U, and he is just as bad. No one liked him, lol.

But, that was a disappointing game. We need something to get us going again.

11. That kid that ESPNU had commentating for UT in the stands with the headphones and orange jacket was an embarrassment.

#1 and #2 were so glaringly obvious tonight that the last 10 minutes were painful to watch. There was just nothing left in the tank.

It is really unfortunate that our Vols ran out of gas at the beginning of SEC play. This is going to be long, and brutal. I hope our boys can find the fortitude to keep fighting. That's all I want at this point, just keep fighting.

And this is why you dont give a scholly to a kid who made one clutch three all season, especially when that shot came after he was completely unaware of the shot clock.

anyone have any idea: when a team gets low and runs out a steam in a bball season, does that ever refill for them, given enough time left in a given season?

That is probably how he hit it. Saw the shot clock was running out and just pitched it at the rim instead of actually taking a good look at the goal.
