1. Another in a line of workmanlike wins. Ragged, but effective.
2. Tennessee's offense was terrifically balanced. It's hard to defend a team when everyone contributes.
3. Cameron Tatum really appears to be rounding into form. Scotty Hopson wasn't bad, either.
4. It'll get lost because of their scoring, but Tatum and Hopson did a nice job on Rotnei Clark. For Arkansas to win, he had to have a big game and they didn't let him.
5. JP Prince and Wayne Chism played like the solid seniors they have to be. If UT is going anywhere in March, those two have to drive the bus.
6. John Pelphrey is the coach at Arkansas and Nolan Richardson is working in the WNBA. Yeah, college basketball is a colorblind meritocracy.
7. Pelphrey's refusal to stand up for his team after Bruce Pearl's technical resulted in a slew of makeup calls should be grounds for termination. That's why one guy wins 20 plus games every year and the other guy is on his way to the unemployment line.
8. If you want to know why Renaldo Woolridge is getting no minutes, you needed to watch him during the last media timeout of the first half. He was more concerned with scowering the crowd and bobbing his head to the Pep Band's version of "Freeze Frame" than paying attention to the huddle.
9. Fraternity tug of war, musical chairs, and a guy shooting threes in a Scottie Pippen throwback he got at Goodwill. Halftime entertainment at its best.
10. A win Saturday should put UT comfortably in the first 20 seeds. That would give them a real chance of seeing the second weekend.

The blame for Nolan not coaching college basketball lies at his own feet.

The halftime recaps are priceless hat. I obviously don't get to see them, but you never fail to paint a funny picture for me. Glad the vols took care of business on senior night.

I bet we will end up playing ND in the tourney and that will be a bad match up for us.

Bullshat. You can tape a conversation with an 17 year old kid, have multiple Final Fours vacated, be fired for lying about an expense account and you get more chances. However, if you essentially call Frank Broyles the racist piece of trash he is, you're radioactive. Makes perfect sense.

Little disappointed that there's no mention of Quinn Cannington getting to see the court or Steven Pearl blocking a shot like he was LeBron for a moment, but great recap as always.

I heard he told the school to fire his ass and when they took him up on it he started playing the race card.

Couldn't agree more.

That's not exactly how it played out.

Look, I like Nolan and think he should have been coaching in college a long time ago. Just saying he has to shoulder some of the blame for his plight.

Hat, I feel like Goins has definitely started playing better lately. What are your thoughts on him?

Nice play. The Pearl family box is right next to my seats. His little brother certainly enjoyed it.

Definitely a great play. Can't say he doesn't give it his all out there.

Pearl made several plays other than the block, he does all these little things that have no stat, like setting s screen to free up Cam for a lay-up and 1...the block was awesome.

I thought UT did as good a job as they have all season at attacking a zone, they flashed to the lane and made the correct pass...nice to see.

Sure wish Brian would go strong just one time...he uses the glass to much when he has great position...weak.

During a timeout, Steve was tapping his Dad on the shoulder while he was coaching. All I could think about was Spaulding from CaddyShack..."I wanna hot dog, a hamburger, no I want two hot dogs...Then Judge Shmeels(best spelling attempt): "You'll get nothing and like it!"

I thought Arkansas' players showed less class tonight than any team we have played all year.

That because they have the least class of anyone we've played. It starts at the top.
