The shut down thread

Do you know why it’s a misconception?

Because people go on news programs and say it.

PBS had some woman on that said military members won’t be getting paid, the commissaries will close, how will these families eat? And everyone just nodded and grimaced at the thought.

Fearmongering..the penchant of the left.

I do find it humorous how they try to bring up the one group they hate the most in this country (the military) to gin up support..

I didn't feel like wasting any time searching for posts...... and did you read I voted for a democrat?

I sincerely wish people that think like you will move to Europe or some ****hole where you can enjoy all of the socialist BS you stand. You're not an American.....

I voted for Lamar Alexander in '78.

I'm happy enough here, as I guess you are. I'm especially fond of our interstate system and all of the beautiful national and state parks I get to visit. I love the educational experiences of those visits and building on the public education I received.

You like announcing your bad decisions don’t you?

OK so help me out then. He spent $125K on trying to stay in the USA as a bona fide citizen, and the majority of that went to taxes.

If you know where that money went then tell us how they came up with that $125k figure. He could have saved that money and lived like a king in one of those s***hole countries. As long as he was here 125k in taxes seems plausible more so than to a lawyer.

I have no idea how they came up with it, but it is way to early in the day to be drunk enough to believe he spent that much in taxes trying to stay here.

Like Tums said, I'd like to see the accounting, but I'll bet you a steak dinner it ain't in tax. Hell I'll bet you $5K of it isn't taxation.
