The stereotypes of politics

TJ was the biggest contributer to the Constitution was was likely the driver of the philosophy contained therein, and I'll assure yo that he had no interest in a Christian based document.

Without a doubt, much of the guiding principals is consistent with RELIGIOUS principals, which , shockingly, tend to mirror the the moral code of the vast majority of civilization.

I respect your view.
I believe that if the framers were not using the Bible to "shape" the document, they would not have referenced "our Creator". They certainly would not have put it on our currency and almost every building that they built in DC.
The argument can be made both ways, this is what I believe.

World Net Daily has an article about TJ on thier web site. It is written by D. James Kennedy. It tells of the "real Thomas Jefferson" not the one that Bible detractors try to tell us he was. (if I knew how to post the link, I would sorry)

I'm not a Bible detractor in the least, but I know that TJ was a firm believer in the ideals of his father and our framers almost to a man bought into the religious freedom argument. Many had parents and grandparents who had come to this land specifically for religious freedom. They were absolutely bent on never forcing upon anyone a specific religion.

I totally agree, but that is a seperate conversation from the basis of the Constitution. The freedom to worship as you please is guarenteed in the document. That is different from the seperation of Church and State. Thier parents fled England because of forced religion and this religious background, I believe IS the basis of the Constitution.
