That seemed so weird and almost too easy. Clearly there is more story to the giant worm wiggling away and down the drain. They killed the host of the master but I'm not sure they actually killed the master.

I read that originally it was only going to be 3 seasons but they decided to do a 4th and final, and it's not being cancelled, they're deciding to end it.

True, but cancelled usually has a negative stigma attached to it. Kind of like the difference between being cut and deciding to retire.

Of course the showrunners could have been sort of pushed into ending it but I doubt it since the show is popular enough.

I guess we won't know if Quinlan made it out or not, I sure hope so.

What I've seen of it..not really close, but they have kind of followed the overall arc. I didn't read the graphic novels. I read the paperbacks a few years ago. If it finishes like the novels, which it seems to be headed towards, it is a satisfying ending. I am going to wait till the series ends to see if I want to watch past season 1. I don't want to watch anymore if it doesn't end like the books. That father-son dynamic is the whole point of the story to me. I will see how it goes. I dont care to see anymore, if they finish it differently.

That kid is just awful. Has been the entire series, even the first kid they had before the actor change was awful. Too bad he wasn't strapped to the Statue of Liberty when he hit that button. It'd be satisfying to see him die honestly. Quinlan just rides the nuclear blast wave into a statue like a boss. It would have been fitting and really funny if he stood up and said, "gnarly man".

FX announced that Sunday, July 16 at 10PM will be the premiere of the fourth and final season of thriller drama series The Strain.

Season 4 picks up nine months later, with the world having fallen into darkness and the strigoi in control following the explosion at the end of Season 3 that triggered a global nuclear apocalypse.
