The Sub Sandwich Hierarchy

I don't think that Lenny's is bad or anything, and perhaps I've never had one of their "better" sandwiches. But, as someone who doesn't enjoy overloading their sub with every ingredient under the sun but wants a variety of sauces and toppings from which to choose, Subway reigns supreme.
Lenny's Philly cheesesteak is pretty tasty.

I welcome, anyone to buy their (Publix) Philly sub sandwich, if you don't think its the best Philly you ever put in your mouth for the amount of $ you spend, return it and get your money back. I promise you will love it that much.
charlies grilled subs has a better philly imo

Publix has a huge following for their Subs. They aren’t bad, everything is very fresh but I still don’t get all the hype.

I wear out the Boar's Head subs at Ingles. They make them on their fresh baked Italian bread, and you get about a 16" sandwich with as many toppings as you want for $7. Best deal in town.

That sounds a lot like Publix, they use Boar’s Head as well.

Well, I'm a meatball sandwich kinda guy, so that's how I rate my Sub Shops. #1 Jersey Mike's, #2 Firehouse, #3 Subway (only if the meatballs are fresh) #4 Lenny's, #5 Nixon's Deli, don't like my sandwich steamed and #99 Subs and Such, worst meatball sandwich I've ever had, took it home after 2 bites and fed it to my dogs. Btw, the last time I had Subway, my meatballs were old, threw it away after spitting out the first bite. Giving Subway a break because in was in a truck stop right before they closed, but it will be months before I buy another one. Jimmy John's and Penn Station don't have meatball subs

After moving to Birmingham, I really miss Lenny’s.
I love their bread. And the paper thin sliced meat is a preference of mine.

Always try to stop in and get one when back in town for a visit.

Baldino’s in Hinesville/Savannah. I always get them at least once when we go visit.

Firehouse
Jersey Mike’s

Everything else is just meh. The only plus to Jimmy John’s is that they deliver fast. Their subs are subpar.

Love Lenny’s Cheesesteak and Firehouse’s Hook and Ladder. I used to love Subway as a kid, everything seemed fresh…

Here in FL, especially on the E. Coast there are some great delis.

In Knoxville I like Nixon's Deli. As for chains, I like:

Jersey Mike's
Jason's Deli
Schlotszki's
