Exactly. It will be nothing more than something liberals use to throw another tantrum. In reality, this could very well turn out to be a big nothing burger. I'll bet the vast majority, if not all, states will continue to keep abortion legal anyway. I believe there are already "trigger laws" set by some states to go in effect as soon as R VS W was overturned.
I like this decision for states rights.Yes I know that. But people are excited about this decision because it will lead to abortion bans in some states. Ultimately though it will probably do little to reduce the number of abortions.
Roe and Casey have officially been overturned.
Supreme Court overturns Roe v. Wade in landmark opinion
I like this decision for states rights.
I’m indifferent on abortion.
I personally am opposed too it but I’m also not my brothers keeper. If it’s deemed illegal in your state and it’s a big problem then move somewhere else.
I’d have to go back and look at the decision, but this sounds a lot like what I read other places after his dissent in June Medical, which said Roe should be overruled.I disagree with Thomas's reasoning. And as explicitly called out in the opinion, so do the other members of the majority.
