The Supreme Court of the United States Thread

You literally said that the baby becomes a baby “when the child separates from the mother.” Do you wish to walk it back?
No.
You asked a stupid question and I was foolish enough to answer.
It's the very definition of "baby".

No, you’re walking it back by ignoring the context of our discussion.

I’ll ask you directly. At what point during pregnancy should abortion be banned?

Which is why leftist in this thread are trying desperately to say that babies aren’t babies, some even until birth.

Just my opinion, but late term abortions are murder. Likewise, there isn't a person at conception. I don't agree with either extreme.

The middle ground is where it gets tough, and philosophically hard to defend either way.

I am opposed to all abortions. Life begins at conception. But once that heart starts beating at 6 weeks, for anyone to argue that isn’t a baby, is irrational and only stated to be justification for killing the baby and avoiding the responsibility of having and raising a child.

Abortions should only be allowed if
1: Baby is at serious risk of death
2. Mother is as serious risk of death
3. Baby was conceived during rape or is a product of incest <.5% of cases
Other than that, actions have consequences, so deal with them. The left wants their free murders because they dont want to be held accountable for their actions. If you play, then you need to pay.

Sam and I both liked this post.

No, they just dictated it wasn't a federal issue and should have never been. They didn't outlaw abortion. They sent it back to each individual state to do their own thing.

This is fine parsing. They removed a constitutional right that had belonged to women for 50 years.
