The Supreme Court of the United States Thread

I am opposed to all abortions. Life begins at conception. But once that heart starts beating at 6 weeks, for anyone to argue that isn’t a baby, is irrational and only stated to be justification for killing the baby and avoiding the responsibility of having and raising a child.
You believe life begins at conception.....many do not.

Just my opinion, but late term abortions are murder. Likewise, there isn't a person at conception. I don't agree with either extreme.

The middle ground is where it gets tough, and philosophically hard to defend either way.

Late term abortions exist only when the woman is carrying a nonviable fetus to birth at her risk. So, stop with the bs

So you didn't like the definitions you found?

I knew you wouldn't.
I’m showing you a picture of a baby in the womb at 19 weeks. A baby you would be fine if he is butchered and dismembered. I understand that you don’t like to face that reality.

I see. In your eyes, even though it is only a fetus and not a baby, it is still wrong to abort after 20 weeks.
And at, let’s say 18 weeks, Luther attends a gender reveal party. Sittin there sippin his seltzer or hard cider, smoking a Virginia slim, Luther congratulates the mom for her baby girl.

While at the same time believing that if she changed her mind the next week and decided to end the babies life, that’s her right! Who cares? Just a clump of cells. Who are we to interfere! She alone decides if that baby lives.

No wonder these people believe men can menstruate, gender is fluid, and Biden is better than Trump. They can’t even get a grip on their own truth let alone actual truth.

I'm not expecting many sodomy or interracial marriage laws to spread through state legislatures but the 14th amendment wasn't meant to stop such things. Those are state issues. Nothing in the constitution grants the federal government authority to govern marriage. That's a state issue.

It doesn’t matter what you’re expecting, I have not said anything about federal governance of marriage, and they are individual issues for people to decide for themselves, not their neighbors.

Is what we have at conception the same as what we have 1 minute before birth?
Not anymore than what we have at 1 is the same as what we have at 91. There is growth and development. That is still a child.

And again, even if you want to deny that, the heart begins beating at 6 weeks. How in the world do we say “that’s not a living child.” Only because some don’t want it to be.

I know people love the abortion fight.

I’m delighted that SCOTUS said this is for states to decide. That is the true delight here.
I know it's been said before but the real issue here is the progressives are using the court to legislate something that they can't get constitutionally. They lost that false hope and are pissed. Show the same fervor at the state level.

This is where you lose me. Whether someone is 1 or 91, they have emotions, feel pain, and have cognitive thought. Objectively, those aren’t features at conception. At a certain point those features should take priority, before that point they are simply not there. They could be, might be, or might not be at some point after conception. But we know they aren’t AT conception.

How big US cities are preparing for protests after Roe v. Wade is overturned

Police departments in major cities across the country were monitoring extremist groups as they prepared for potential violent protests Friday over the Roe v. Wade ruling.

New York City cops braced for a long night with beefed-up patrols as pro-abortion protesters planned to gather in Washington Square and Union Square in Manhattan on Friday night.

In Dallas, Texas, workers boarded up windows on a federal building downtown and were seen putting fencing around the perimeter as one social-media group urged protesters to avoid posting pictures online and to “wear a mask and nondescript clothing.”

The pro-abortion radical group Jane’s Revenge, which has already claimed responsibility for arson attacks and vandalism since the leak of the draft opinion overturning Roe v. Wade, published a letter last week declaring “open season” on pro-life pregnancy crisis centers.
