The Tennessee "VOLES"??

I get "voles" all the time, mainly from non sports fans.

I'm at the Florida game and a UF girl sitting beside me asked me

"If Tennessee is the volunteers then why is their mascot a dog?"

You can't fix stupid.

"Well, miss the Auburn are the Tigers but they have an eagle as a mascot. The Naval Academy are the Midshipmen and have a goat as a Mascot. Army are the Black Knights but has a mule as a mascot. Alabama are the Crimson Tide but has an elephant for a mascot."

Stupid UF girl.... "oh, ok"

Believe her question was meant to poke fun at Tennessee. Kind of backfired.

Then I asked "If Florida are the Gators, where is your mascot? Why don't you have a gator at the game?"
