The Texas Rangers Thread

Scratch that, 2-RBI single by Andrus. 1st and 2nd still no outs. Bottom 6th.

The brooms coming out comment was very bad form.

Sure did. I would have given y'all as much chance of sweeping Texas as I gave us a chance of sweeping the Dodgers over the weekend.

Can't predict ball...

Same here, honestly am happy with the series win. If we hold on for the sweep that is just gravy. Looking forward to our 6 games to end the season with you guys

Was having trouble throwing strikes. Was getting behind in the count against almost every batter. Plus Hurdle has never seemed confident with him in close games this year

Makes sense. Every time I have seen him he's been lights out.

The Rangers offense is really anemic right now. They have gone 54 innings now without scoring more than one run in an inning.

I was hopeful that I was going to enjoy pulling for a Vol when they picked up J.P. Arencibia, but he is currently batting .083. Ouch.

This has the makings of being a long, bad season for the Rangers.

So will Ron Washington be without a job if the Rangers don't make the Playoffs?

It wouldn't surprise me if that is the case, but it is hard to blame him for everything. The Rangers have been dealing with some injuries, and the offensive production is horrible.

Adrian Beltre joined Darrell Evans, Reggie Jackson, Jim Thome and Alex Rodriguez as the only players with 100 home runs for three different teams.

I have no animosity towards Ron Washington at all. He left Oakland for the same reason Art Howe did, he wanted to be an actual manager not a Billy Beane stooge. Best of luck to him and his family as he goes through this personal matter.

They've made a nice comeback this summer. I pull for the Rangers a little since that heartbreaking loss to the cardinals in the World Series
