The Thread Where People Argue About Kneeling in the NFL (merged)

Is that what Trump does?

Does that explain why one of his attorneys, Jay Sekulow, and his Press Secretary, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, both claimed last year, that he had not dictated the first misleading statement about his son's June 9, 2016 meeting at Trump Tower? ... Only to have his legal team contradict them both in a letter to special counsel Robert Mueller in January.

Trump doesn't call out BS, he spreads it like a honey wagon.

I know deep down you voted for him

That is not entirely accurate.

Sekulow said several times that Trump had NO involvement in the drafting of the statement WHATSOEVER. None. Zero. Zilch.

Sanders then later said he had a little input, some suggestions, "as any father would."

What has happened is that people like Hope Hicks, who openly spoke about deep sixing the emails to and from Donny Jr that prove collusion efforts, has no doubt told Mueller and others that Trump dictated the fricking thing.

Knowing that, the Trump lawyers tried to get out in front of this by sending that letter to Mueller admitting it, but saying its no big deal.

See, this is the problem with lying over and over again, and about big things. You can't get the details straight. And then you get your story mixed up and it starts not to match the facts, or other people's stories.

And in this case, that was because it was part of a concerted effort by Trump and his team, directed personally by Trump, to hide the facts of the meeting.

Lock his orange azz up!!

From ESPN when a NHL player skipped going to WH when Barry was pres:

Thomas' absence was uncalled for. The president has more important things to worry about with Tuesday's State of the Union address.

But when the president of the United States invites you and all your teammates to the White House to honor your Stanley Cup championship, you go and represent the team.

On Monday, Thomas instead chose to represent himself.

The issue that I have with this is that while CK is a black man, he was raised with a silver spoon in his mouth and probably did not see the discrimination that he so adamantly claims to protest against. He is much like D4H in that he claims "his people" yet he isn't one of them and never has been. CK's protests would have gotten a better reception if 1) they had come during a time when the BLM movement wasn't supporting false issues (i.e. Michael Brown and the BS at UofMO) and 2) when we didn't have a president that was perceived by many as one of the most racially divisive presidents in recent history. To many, everytime Barry turned around he was playing the race card. Many were tired of it.

Police brutality has to stop, but it isn't a function of our country and it's national pride but a function of clashes between good cops and bad people and bad cops and innocent people. The cops are a small part of what makes this country good or bad and to protest the way he did just didn't help his case. To top it all off, he just wasn't that good and having his supporters castigate teams for not signing him for his race doesn't help either.

His protests were ill timed, ill planned, did not have a clear and unimpeachable directive, and his supporters did him more harm than good.

The best thing about this is that these outlets are being exceptionally transparent with their partisanship. it's expected these days. it's a turn off of the left side of the aisle to people with an "I" on their voter registration.

Its all just their hatred of Trump, Trump is bad, evil, racist,Nazi etc... but they are all level headed smarter than everyone else and rational. He was not going to be embarrassed by only having 10 of them show up, they tried to set him up for political reasons and he wasn't going to fall for it. Good for him, F the nfl and F the eagles

The Eagles didn't sit or kneel during the anthem, state run tv a.k.a. ''Faux"News"ran a picture of players kneeling..... in prayer! Pure propaganda. Shameful.

Yet only 9 or so were going to actually go to the WH. I don't blame Trump. The Eagles are *******s that choose to stay home in protest. What they are protesting, they won't say. They could have come to Washington for their community work and gone home never having gone to the WH. Instead, they do the typical BS professional athlete thing and bring politics into sports yet they have no ****ing clue what they are for or against. Sports could stop at college and I would be just fine. If I made the average NFL money my ass would be where ever good PR put me. If the president wanted to see me, I would be there. Politics would never enter my conversation.

"I don't mind if the President lies to me every day about how he won the election. I don't mind that he has others lie about it, too. I don't mind that he tried to cover up what he did. And I don't mind that he then lied -- and had others lie for him -- about his effort to cover it up. Its all ok, because I am going to claim none of it is illegal. In fact, even if it is illegal, its okay.

But, boy, that Obama guy we catch him being wrong about keeping your doctor, we are going to ram that up your azz every single chance we get for the next 100 years."

Every president has lied in office but tRump has taken it to new heights. Free press's job is to report every lie irregardless of who the liar is.

They should report every lie, too bad they shirked that duty from 2008 to 2017.
