The Tiger Woods saga

nobody is worth quitting golf for. i don't care if she can suck the chrome off a door knob.

if he quits golf over this because she laid down the law, i will lose all respect for him.

I'm to the point of not believing anything that is being said about this situation. These news sites and magazines are just saying anything they want and quoting "sources" but nobody is even trying to verify their validity.

When somebody did try to fact check one of the mag's, they were busted and made to look like the fools they are.

I'm not putting it past Tiger to have an affair, but right now, hardly any of this is believable.

If she's laying down the law in part because he needs to be a better father/husband and golf, for whatever reason, gets in the way of that then she has a good point. The most important title a man can ever have is father. Golf or any other endeavor for that matter should take a back seat every time.

Edit: If she's doing this for purely personal reasons that have nothing to do with the children and trying to crack her whip then I completely agree with you.

I'll give you my paycheck for the rest of my life if Tiger Woods quits golf

he'll come back and play.

if he needs to take a year off, that's fine, but there's no way the guy can put his bag up forever. won't happen.

"Lawyers for Tiger Woods have obtained a UK injunction preventing certain information purportedly about him being published."

Wonder what they are going after in the states? I've followed this more than I should have and I noticed a couple of days ago, the most outlandish claims are coming from British news sources.

Why would a judge grant the injunction?
"...concerns alleged information which cannot be disclosed for legal reasons."

The injunction is to prohibit the posting of any nude photos of Tiger "if any exist". Obviously they must and he knows it or there would be no need for the injunction IMO.

The Today interview was just sad. She had a copy of a NY paper from this morning that claimed she was paid for sex and she adamantly denied it and appeared sincere in her disdain. She went on to say that after maintaining the "relationship" for awhile that she asked Tiger for unspecified financial help and he told her he couldn't. Said she realized then that she didn't mean anything to him. (well duh) She also said she knew he was married but, "Hey, it was Tiger Woods".

Read where they had tax forms where she had been payed by Braun. I'm sure that was not for being a call girl, though.

So, are you just speculating about the pictures, because Playgirl is based in the states, right? Why would they need the injunction in the UK?

The british press is a little more free wheeling, in what they will cover and report.
Supposedly Holly Sampson is the one shopping the pictures around..

I see where he got the information and supposedly his lawyers sent a letter to the UK papers reminding them.

THAT would be great.

Tiger, Ted Nugent, Tommy Lee, Gene Simmons, Pamala Anderson, Travis Henry, and jenna jamison!!!

I would watch that show!!!!

Of course you would. We all would.

There would be about an 82% chance of the show ending in an orgy.

Brian Williams just announced that Tiger is taking an indefinite leave of absence from the sport. I assume he meant golf.

I think that too
He'll tee it up for sure at the Masters

I mean if it's true he's moving to that Island in Sweden, to work it out
He'll go stir crazy by then

His golf calluses will be replaced by...well, PG-13 doesn't allow for completion.

Seems like an entirely reasonable ultimatum on her part, if she is indeed willing to stay with him and try to work it out. It's not the golf, it's the travel. He's lost the privilege of traveling by himself. The kids are too young for her to go with him. Ergo she says, if you care about your family enough to try to fix this, then step one is that you have to stop traveling.

No woman is worth giving up golf for if you're Tiger Woods. Your kids are, though. It's not like they're going to be in the next city if she leaves you; they're going to be in Sweden.

i'm not disagreeing with the stuff about being a good father. i don't have kids myself, but i believe every child needs a male and female influence in their life and they need to build a solid foundation of morals for them.

however, there have been several pro golfers who have traveled in personal RVs, with their families in tow, to tournaments. seems like this could be a perfectly acceptable alternative to not playing golf because of the travel, in this country.

like i said, i don't have kids, but i can imagine the difficulty of traveling with them in a car, let alone an airplane, thus making trips overseas virtually impossible or, at the best, incredibly frustrating.

If you don't have kids, then you probably can't appreciate the extent to which you would do anything to keep them. Including walking away from golf if you're Tiger Woods. I'm almost five years into fatherhood and I'm still not sure that these two kids of mine are a net positive in my life -- they pretty much burned what I used to think of as my life down to the ground -- but I will say this: until I had a kid, I really had no concept of how much it was possible to care about something. I care so much about my kids that it sort of makes me feel like an idiot about it. Five years ago, I'd read a story about how some four-year-old got killed in a school bus accident and think, oh, that's an awful story. Now it makes me physically sick to my stomach, and it makes me want to go up and lie down in my son's bed while he's asleep and just listen to him breathe. It's ridiculous, really, and yet it is what it is.

The upshot being: if I'm Tiger, and I'm worrying about losing my kids, then I literally don't give the first F about golf. The idea of the woman taking them to Europe and me seeing them twice a year is intolerable. Nothing else matters.

I can buy that VGTX.

That said, I believe she'll find a way for him to golf, at least the big ones.
