The Tiger Woods saga

personally, I hope his indefinite leave lasts a good long while. Tiger-less tournaments are infinitely more enjoyable to watch just because it's all about the game instead of all about Tiger regardless of who they are showing on the tv.

Television ratings suggest that the vast majority of golf viewers disagree with you.

here we go with this again.

personally (key word), i (key word) agree will Bill as well.

from the US Open to when Tiger returned was probably some of the most enjoyable golf i can ever remember.

Golf ratings and revenue will go through the roof. The first tournament he enters will be an attendance and media circus. Golf may never have a bigger audience, ever. Security will be a concern as well. I know he performs at his best under pressure. Tiger by 5 strokes......

I see now. Thanks for the parentheses.

You (key word,) personally (key word,) would also be in the minority.

I get that some people either don't like Tiger or think he's overexposed. Personally, I think I'm just lucky to be seeing the greatest player ever before my eyes. It doesn't bother me that I get shown his preshot routine instead of Joe Blow putting out somewhere.

Agree. It's like watching peyton execute. You know you are watching something and someone very special at the top of an entire sport. Don't look away or stop watching. You will miss something that in the future others will wish they could have witnessed and experienced.

if he's leading the tournament, by all means show every move he makes, even if it's eating a sandwich between 12 and 13.

but if he's 7 off the lead on Sunday, show me the leaders. i don't care what he's doing unless Feherty is farting into the boom mic again.

until the next great one comes along.

Who on here thinks the marriage last..

I can see them trying to work it out, but with the accusations and the number of women that have come forward, how does he ever build a level of trust with Elin that would lead to happy marriage...

I don't think it will last, and personally think she should divorce him..

i think that without question Tiger is the best player I've ever been able to see play. I hesitate to say best ever, because he's never gone toe to toe with Snead, Hogan, Hagan, etc. And obviously he'll never get to. Like doozer I'm fine seeing every little detail about him IF he's leading or near the top of the leaderboard. But when he's seven strokes back looking at a finish somewhere in the 20s, I don't need to see 5 different replays of his 3 footer with no break. Nor do I need to see him bite his fingernails while his playing partner tees off. I like seeing the rest of the field. I know I'm in the minority, but I don't care.

nobody is worth quitting golf for. i don't care if she can suck the chrome off a door knob.

if he quits golf over this because she laid down the law, i will lose all respect for him.

So you didn't lose all respect for him after he most likely cheated on his wife several times with several women? It takes quitting golf and putting his family first for you to lose respect?

His wife is leaving him after the new year. I don't blame her, his reputation is ruined and so is their marriage.
