FTR, why won't Obama release his birth certificate and other papers relating to his early life and education?

Proving Constitutional qualification for the presidency is several orders higher than giving the media something else to pick apart in their efforts to destroy you politically.

Yes, if he does that ONE simple thing then he can put his birth place questions to rest. If he will release academic records then that will put those questions to rest. Pretty simple for such a "transparent" guy.

Yes. I've known just regular people who had things like that to clear up. In case you hadn't noticed, complying with the IRS isn't always the most simple thing in the world. Look at the amounts you posted LG. That's nothing.

If you think what Lt. Colonel West did in interrogation is even remotely close to the worst that has happened then you are delusional. If a more no nonsense approach was taken with prisoners, maybe some more progress would be made. Fish out the higher ups when you scare prisoners so bad they are pissing themselves regularly. Instead, our president is shutting down our prisons and reforming interrogation policies and prisoner treatment guidelines. We scare the other side less and less each day he, and his supporters, hold power.

I don't know if our country actually tortures prisoners. I'm sure things happen we will never know about. I do know that there are policies in place to make sure information is extracted someway, somehow.

Letting an ally take over custody of a prisoner temporarily and this ally does not adhere to Geneva Convention guidelines.

I'd rather see the War on Terror end within my lifetime. And if enhanced interrogation saves American lives, I see no problem with using it.
