I don't get it...

How does an obese woman have anything to do with America's greatness or liberals being elite?

I'm serious... this went over my head.

She was in a Q&A video made at Glenn Beck's Tea Party rally in DC spouting off about Obama and stuff. I was hoping someone would recognize, but I guess not.

Let's see LG has accused West of being emotional over intelligent, a slacker that is not paying his debts.

It's clear LG is racist.

The "War on Terror" is a fraud and a never ending "war" like the "war on drugs" is. They'll keep coming out of the woodwork; especially if we keep treating the citizens like ****. Keep feeding them ammo.

What exactly do you mean by fraud?

As far as continuing to come out of the woodwork I agree. The US and other countries fighting against it is not gonna stop that. These types believe they are being rewarded for their actions in killing. But it will make it harder for them to strike us on our soil, which is evident from the last 10 years.

Unless you think they are gonna play nice if we call off the dogs. Which I don't buy.

They won't play nice if we stop, but there's no way we can effectively stop them from attacking us on our soil. Just because it hasn't happened in 10 years doesn't mean what we've done in Afghanistan and Iraq has been the cause of that. 1993 was the first attack by Al Qaeda and the next happened in 2001. We weren't fighting in either place during the time between attacks.

We're wasting money fighting there.

I disagree about as much as one can with that. We turned a blind eye and a deaf ear before 9/11 and got bit for it. If we do that again the chances will increase. Just because you can't end it in the sense of typical warfare does mean you fold up and except it.

I'm just saying that we're fighting an endless war, wasting tons of money, and the Republicans are talking about cutting PBS and NPR and not even looking at scaling back the war.

Your beef is with the left just as much as the right bro. At least when it comes to this. They signed off on the investment that the US has made no different than the right. So its not really a left/right issue. You make these types of decisions when it comes to war and there is a lot involved past just fighting.

Im not gonna touch the PBS and NPR stuff, to me that is way down on the relevance meter.

The war on terror is alot more like the Cold War than the war on drugs. It is a product of people and politicians without the stomach to do what is necessary to win quickly.

You're suggesting torture? Guess you've never heard of the Geneva Convention then. Just because the enemy does it doesn't mean it's okay for us to do it.

Right... we should actually bomb a village every time a bimbo eruption happens... wait, we did that one. I'm sure that violates the spirit of Geneva.

In all seriousness, you are partly right. We should have allowed our soldiers the liberties granted under Geneva rather than hand cuffing them with the firing restrictions. Geneva was ALOT more forgiving concerning collateral damage than our own defense dept has been over the last 10 years.

Completely makes sense to command the respect of the other countries that follow it.

And yes, I know it happens. It's despicable.

Pick up a ruck sack and go change places with one of those kids that was going to be tortured to death... and then let us know how despicable it is.

I honestly believe our guys should fight according to Geneva. I don't believe they should fight under stricter restrictions. I don't believe any legal act or resource should have been withheld to prevent our guys from getting wounded or killed.

THIS! With regards to torture/harsh interrogation techniques, we as a society, either have principles or we don't. We can't publicly condemn others for doing what we do in private. Human rights are human rights. How would you feel if, while at war with us that was deemed legitimate in their eyes, another country tortured our service members?

In case you haven't noticed, the trash we're fighting do torture captives.

I'm simply saying that America is supposed to be better than that. Do I want to protect service men and women? OF COURSE! I just believe that 'any means necessary' is a slippery slope.

I hear you, but war, for those on the tip of the spear, isn't about which guy's gonna get the sportsmanship award. Those are reserved for the dead guys in the street.

There is one demonstrated successful method for dealing with this particular culture in war- domination. The idea that our being too harsh is bringing their aggression on us is ignorant. Regardless of how representative you think the extremists are of Islam as a whole, they have a conviction they are willing to kill or die for. The believe they have a mission from Allah to subject the whole world to Islam. That same religious viewpoint tells them if you aren't Muslim and won't live as a dhimmi under Islamic rule... you ARE the enemy.

It will not go away unless Islam as a religion fundamentally changes the assumptions of superiority and right to rule.

I get ya BPV. I would STRONGLY resist criticizing what a man in the field does in the heat of the moment after seeing his brothers killed (have not experienced directly but have seen the effects on relatives). My comments were aimed more at what non-combatant, shadow figures do in dark places in our name.
