What does them being the presumptive favorites in a mediocre to bad league have to do with them being in the top 10? More often than not, Donovan assembles a bunch candyasses. There's no Harvey or Rich Kids to change that this year. Just another bunch of Matt Walsh type frauds.

aside from Harvey being the 6th best player on the 99-00 team and no one knowing who the Rich Kids were before they won a championship.

Could you break down our roster for me? i'm having trouble identifying the "candyasses".

Start with anyone with Florida Gator's on their shirts, hearts or minds!!!! Also all of the Gator fans, alumni, and boosters. Does that cover it? Oh, all gator troll who make their way to our board. V,B!

never said we didn't get a miracle @NC State. that shot almost never goes in.

but Tennessee was a top ten team last year and still needed a very remarkable shot to not get swept by a team with only 8 players the entire year, had zero senior starters and all but 1 starter either a first year player or playing a new position. despite that they were in every single game and in most of their losses came down to the final seconds. had they been a marginally better perimeter shooting team it's not difficult to see how they would have won a lot more games last year. literally everyone is back except offensive blackholes Dan Werner and Ray Shipman, at minimum get back Kadji from season-ending injury and add a pretty darn good recruiting class.

i resent the characterization of our team as gutless. that was the worst perimeter shooting team ever under Donovan as Walker was learning to play PG on the job, Boynton was a freshmen and Werner and Shipman couldn't hit the broad side of a barn. If we were gutless chuckers we should have lost a lot more games and been blown out in our losses. But we were in pretty much every loss until the final seconds we still in there fighting. Nobody rolled over. Our guts is the only thing that kept our inexperience and depth from killing us in the toughest divisional play in SEC East history.

:lolabove::lolabove::lolabove:

Give it up Gator boy,not gonna win this one!!!! Gutless chuckers w/ vaginitis, LMFAO!!!! Hats my Hero, today!

The only thing funnier than alex tyus bald head mullet is this top 10.

Keep hating the sec and the vols. Virginia tech will not be in the top 2 in their conference at the end of the year.

Watch out for Clevelnd State in Horizon league this year too. Return almost everybody from a team that held their own against Butler and WVU this past year.

Yep, and the SEC was better than the Big 10 last year too. Don't forget that.

Hands down. No question.

While were at it.....

Its obvious with Kentucky losing 5 players to the NBA and UT losing 3 senior starters that both are worthy of pre-season top 10 honors.

We are apparently just not enlightened enough to see it.

Hats top 10 is a good base to build on. I would swap a couple teams, but under no circumstance would I have a SEC team listed in any form or fashion.

What? There is nobody in the SEC that deserves to be in the top 10. But I do think having Va. Tech in the top 10 is absurd.

Solid list. Va Tech being listed is absurd though.

Va Tech was good last year and their not being invited but teams like Florida getting in was a damn travesty. They may not be top ten, but they won't be far out.

And before anyone says "oh you didn't watch them play," not only did I watch them play, but I saw them in person.

They may be a solid club, I think they are actually, but to put them #8 in the nation after missing the ‘AAs and having only a decent class seems a little strange to me.

Now that the draft deadline has come and gone, the last big mystery this offseason is the Terrence Jones decision. For purposes of this initial ranking, I'm assuming he goes to Washington.

1. Purdue.
2. Duke.
3. Michigan State.
4. Pittsburgh.
5. Villanova.
6. Kansas State.
7. Washington.
8. Virginia Tech.
9. Ohio State.
10. Temple.

Exactly. They were 23-7 with 10 wins in the ACC. I don't care how you spin it, its a better resume than the Gainesville chunkers. Three of those loses were to a ranked Florida St team, the National champ Duke, and a HOT Maryland team who had just beaten Duke at the end of the season.

If not for Chasity Parsons pulling buzzer beaters out of his pasty white arse... but I digress. Back to topic.

I think Hats on to something, although the preseason #8 ranking can be debated. I think its possible that VT can start the season ranked and maybe hold a top 15 ranking through some, if not most of the season. They have a good team, really.

However, VT under Greenburg has been a hard cookie to crack the last few years. They have games where they take the big boys to the line, and even win a few. Then turn around and play like they are in a Thursday night church league. They have shown signs of gradually getting better though, and last season was a step in the right direction.

The ranked fsu team the beat is the same team the florida chunkers beat like a womans team that stole their girlfriend. The acc has 5 top 25 recruiting classes, matched only by the sec. Va tech will have to play much better than last year to have the same number of wins. Having them top 10 is idiotic.

Villanova will not miss scottie reynolds? Seriously? But ut without wayne chism will just fall to pieces...

I'm assuming your still spewing your hatred for Hat in your post, seeing as how the only thing in this rant that has to do with me is the florida St/Florida reference.

If you simply acknowlege the greatness of DePaul, Charlotte, NC State, and Miami you'll avoid his wrath.
