The Truth Hurts

How much you lose by means nothing to me. Lou Holtz lost all kinds of close games at South Carolina. Is that what we want UT to be, valiant losers?

That is so not what I was talking about . . . the assertion I am refuting is that we consistently get "blown off the field" by the top teams in the SEC which is obviously not true.

There was a time when a 10 point fourth quarter lead for a UT team pretty much assured us the victory.

You mean way back when we could get in the I formation and get 4 yards per carry?

I didn't say "blown off the field." Anyway, we've had quite a few blowouts against top SEC teams the last few years. I can't remember the last time we blew out a great SEC team.

Like who? When you say "stay on the field" it sounds like we are getting hammered every time we play in a big game . . . and that's not the case.

Agreed, even at 5-6 in 2005, the Vols were not "getting hammered"

How often will ANYBODY "blow out a great SEC team"?? You children want too much. You're spoiled. We could've beaten Arky by a TD, and you'd still have carped that it should have been 40.
