1. A wonderful win. This game shows that Cuonzo Martin can coach with the big boys. And to be able to pick his team up after such a tough loss after Wednesday is commendable. Great job Coach.

2. Cam Tatum played well today. It's like a see-saw with him, but hey, you take what you get when it's good.

3. It's quite obvious that the offense should run through Jarnell Stokes, and then Jeronne Maymon. That's Tennessee's best bet.

4. Josh Richardson gave Jeremy Lamb all he could today. That was a really good job, and a great team performance on Lamb, a lottery pick. He worked for everything.

5. Despite his lack of scoring, I thought Golden did a good job today. Had six assists, only two turnovers with a ton of pressure that UConn imposed, and good job on Napier. Golden did well.

6. Jarnell Stokes has that "IT" factor. He outplayed the most likely #1 pick in the 2012 NBA draft. And in his third career game. Not too mention after sucking at the line, he hit two big ones down the stretch. He has everything.

7. This defense is starting to become dominant. That was a great performance and exactly what Coach Martin wants. That is the future of Tennessee basketball, and personally, I love it.

8. With this win, you now have the big OOC win you were lacking. The tourney chances are slim. You beat Vandy, and now you've got the hardest part of the schedule out of the way and came out alive. I'm very excited about Tuesday's game.

9. You have to hit free throws down the stretch. They got somewhat lucky in that department. 10 point lead with three minutes to go and UConn got a last second chance to tie it. Can't have that.

10. Great win for the program on a national stage. UConn's a very good team. Just like the Florida game, this shows that the team can beat anyone on the country with defense.

It's great to be a Tennessee Volunteer!!! :hi:

Hate to burst your bubble, but we still have to play UK at Rupp....

Yes, and that sucks, but we get Auburn Saturday, then after the Rupp visit, get two home games against UGA and USClite.

Yeah, it gets better schedule-wise. But there are certainly no easy wins for this team.

This is the most disturbing point for sure.

Consistency, consistency, consistency. If we can become consistent we'll be tough to beat, especially at home. If we give a similar effort to this the rest of the way I think we can win 10 games in the SEC still.

Different team on the road. 10 not likely.

that is one game...and we gave those guys a good game with Stokes 0.5 now we have Stokes 1.0.. we don't necessarily beat everyone we just have to win more than we lose in SEC play. Honest truth we wont do that but we shouldn't have so that's not really a bad thing. We will win way more games than this team should have before first tip and next season we are legit top 15 material.

If you are a UT fan I`can understand impatience in general. But if you are a real UT MENS basketball fan patience is the only way to go. I mean seriously, we have never been a CONSISTENTLY good team. Even Pearls teams were only really good overall when compared to what came before. He only had 2 years that could be called good without a tongue in cheek.

This team could be the start of something great IF we can start getting some point guard play. That ain't gonna happen this year.

I have a feeling this team will destroy UGA when they come up here. We need to play pissed off and looking for revenge in games like that.

Anthony Davis plays for UConn?

As much as I hate UK, Davis is the most likely #1 pick in the 2012 NBA Draft at this point. And it isn't really close.

Honestly, Drummond didn't stand out to me at all today. I couldn't even tell you his number.

He didn't either. He made one nice moves, had a couple blocks, but that is about it.

Anyway....Stokes played pretty well against Davis too as I remember. Especially for it to be his 1st game.

Drummond I think is going to be the #1 pick, but Davis will give him a run.

I just don't see it. Davis is head and shoulders above everyone right now. Unless Drummond rips off a string of 20-10 games in Big East play, Davis will run away with the nomination for most likely #1 pick.

Just my two cents.

Cuonzo Martin will get this program back on track. The future is bright.
