One was Hakeem Olajuwon. I'd say Houston still came out looking pretty good.
And that wasn't the point. The point, was you always take the big man. 2007 NBA Draft as exhibit A. Everyone knew Durant was the better player, yet everyone said "You still take Oden."
John Wall was a point guard, not a wing, in a different NBA.
Also, Favors, while talented, isn't Andre Drummond or Anthony Davis.
=========================
I think the other was Sam Bowie?
It all depends on what you need. But Barnes is the most polished player with zero limits.
Try reading subsequent posts before rushing to judgment. Would benefit you greatly.
More aimed at the "you always take a big man given the choice" theory that you posted. Sorry if that wasn't clear. You take the best player available, regardless of position.
You replied (and you were the FIRST) to the OP you twit. What the hell do "subsequent posts" have to do with your reply? If you're going to argue, at least try to formulate a somewhat intelligent response. Then again...that's probably par for the course with you.
=========================And again, that wasn't the point. The point was the NBA doesn't pass up big men with the #1 like Davis or Drummond for a player like Barnes (and that's not a shot at Barnes).
Actually, he isn't an elite athlete like Davis or Drummond, which could limit him.
I don't necessarily agree with that theory (I always thought you should take KD over Oden for example), but that's how the NBA works in case you get the next Dwight Howard.
Since you don't seem to understand much, I'll help. Try reading my posts about half a page down from that. Nowhere does it say that I am unhappy with beating UConn. Trying to keep it all in perspective.
