Ok, what I am talking of is not a feel good live in sin fellowship. It is a group of christians that firmly believe the bible as the word of God and choose not to have it forced on them by a pastor who is more concerned with keeping butts in the seat to pay the light bill and staff but rather seek the truth of the word and teachings of Jesus. Just because some isn't in a church building does not mean they live in sin.
Very well worded. I am not against church really, it serves a great purpose and probably saved me from death the way I was. But I really feel as though Christ is moving "in a new way" in this nation. I continue to pray that i grow closer to him with each passing day. I mean, I never want my kids to doubt what we believe but I want them to see it in me and not forced on them in church. I got the chance to pray with my daughter for the health of one of her friends father and you could tell great inpact on her.You go where God sends you. Sometimes that's a church that doesn't seem ideal, because the person who wanders in and sits next to you may need to hear something you have to say.
I'm not giving reasons for people to attend the churches they do, I'm just saying man can't make God's will black and white. If we could, we wouldn't be here. We're all sinners anyway.
I'm really not trying to be a jack@$$ but you're missing the point. It just seems to me that a lot of people want to ignore the fact that Hell is real and the Devil is, too. I understand your point about pastors. I went to a certain church my whole life and have stopped attending because the pastor turned into a dictator.
Church is a good thing sometimes, it is where we receive sacraments, mainly communion.
I'm not saying someone is living in sin because they don't go to Church. Since I quit attending my Church, I probably go to Church twice a month, I find it hard to get anything out of it. I find I get a lot out of quiet time to my self praying, reading the Word, and listening to some inspirational music.
For real? Do feel a Christian should not give an offering to God?
Serious questions.

Surely no one believes they are giving an offering TO God, but rather for God. Offerings should be used for spreading the word and helping those in need.
If you question where your money is going, then you aren't going to the right Church. And if you find giving money a stumbling block, then I sincerely apologize that that is the only example you have seen.

It is an offering to God, for his purpose.
I know where my money goes. I designate it for missions not the church budget.
I'm not sure what you are talking about there.
And I believe you are wrong, but you and I are entitled to different opinions. He made it so

I suddenly have this image in my head, with Adam and Eve going to God, saying "Father, it's getting kind of boring. We walk around all day, eating fruit and having a grand all time...but we always agree on everything. There's just no spice." Then, God waved his hand, entitling Adam and Eve to different opinions, with the words "Make it so." At that moment, ladies and gentlemen, God set in motion a chain of events that has given us wars, murder, and fist fights - but above all those, it gave us make-up sex.
