What's the crowd look like for this game anyways?

The travel distances for both schools to Atlanta's nuts. (It's in ATL right?)

Question for people with a better memory than me. What was the stat about Florida going undefeated in SEC play.. were they the first team to do it or just the only one since they expanded the number of conference games?

Today's game? It was pretty sparse. I think there may have been more bored UK fans show up to watch than fans of either team.

Last's night's games were pretty empty too.

first to do it with an 18 game regular season.

there were previous 18 game schedules at one time with a 10 team league. everyone played each school home and home. it was about a 25 year period.

then, the last 2 years there have been 18 games.

Last night there had to have been less than a hundred...

Today, there were Mizzou fans around. This is just my observation from home though.

Thanks! a friend and I were discussing it, and he thought they were the first, but I thought I remembered some teams running the table before. Preciate it.

SEC can't expect big attendance numbers when they are charging $200 per seat in the lower section... ridiculous.

Yeah, today's.

Makes sense. Looking at about (by car) a 677 mile trip from Missouri's campus and about an 830 mile trip from Texas A&M's.

And unless you're in the first few rows in the GA Dome the view is terrible. I hate that place with a passion.

Don't understand why they can't hold this in Phillips Arena. Capacity is a lame excuse. Surely they could draw more if it were there.

They like all the extra room they can make for media?

Best I can come up with. No clue why they use half of a football stadium for this either (unless the local NBA team doesn't want this effecting their schedule since the season's still going on at this point).

The Hawks probably didn't want to get bumped out of their own building when the dome is available....They should just keep the tourney in Nashville forever...that is a pretty central location for everyone

I think they should move it around several cities: something like Nashville, New Orleans, St. Louis, and somewhere in either GA and FL (if a 4th is needed).

I going to say it now but there have been and there will be a ton of fouls called in this tournament. Tick tack.

I like the idea of having it in the same place every year. Just not in Nashville. No reason Vandy should get to basically have a home game for the SEC tourney. Atlanta is fine, it's the Georgia Dome that's the problem.

Orlando would be awesome too but that's basically outside the SEC footprint.

Well at least the dome will be obsolete in 3 years

I went to the SEC Championship a few years ago in Nashville. Vandy fans were nary to be found

Well it's going to have to be the dome. The NBA and NHL seasons are still going on, so that's likely out, and Georgia Tech's not going to let us use their court...I'm not sure if there's another option in that city.

Isn't it close to Gainesville?

Also hasn't Tampa Bay either hosted or been in consideration to host the tournament?

Personally, I think St. Louis could be an interesting site as well.

A lot of NHL venues host conference and NCAA tournament games...
